I highly recommend this place. The military has allowed me to train in many different places, and I…read moremust say this place is one of the best ever. From the moment I stepped in the doors I was treated like I had been training there for years. Everyone was very nice and made me feel welcomed. There are some very good people that train here, I think no matter if you are just starting off or have been training for years you will learn something from these guys, I know I learned a lot from the month I got to train here. Additionally, I have kids that train, so I watched a few of the kids class and I must say what I seen with this was amazing. The way Professor Marc and Taylor interact with the kids is exceptional. They really make sure the kids are enjoying their time while still learning. I seen a few things that I will bring back to the school I train

Coach Marc is very knowledgeable, friendly, and his lineage is top notch. The level of people on the mat is out of this world. Most nights there are two black belts walking around, and 3 or 4 brown belts. Beginners are more than welcome with new white belts trickling in all the time. They also have a fantastic kids program taught by Coach Taylor and Coach Lance, who started out in the kids program himself many years ago. You won't be sorry you came by!

In need of a gym in Bossier, I stopped in at the Plex Fitness Center on seeing the price: $20 per…read moremonth with no contract required. This is a fairly good deal, and the facility seemed large enough to have everything I might need for the price. Signup was quick, and even at 5:00pm, there was room both on the cardio machines and in the weight room. This was a stark difference from my gym in California--one I was quite happy to discover. After a handful of workouts there during my last visit, I found the gym satisfactory, though there were some machines that needed some light maintenance. Nothing was properly broken, though about 10% of the machines I used would have been well served by ten minutes attention each with a screwdriver and a wrench. Tighten a few screws, maybe lube a few pulleys, and everything is right-on. The staff there are helpful beyond what I'm used to in California. I saw one of the guys actually demoing a machine or two to people who didn't quite get them, which would ordinarily cost a trainer's fee at my regular gym. Pretty nice touch. They also seem to be home to some dance-type classes, and a karate gym.

Let me start with the most important thing. The gym itself is not bad. They have a good amount of…read morefree weights and I didn't run into many issues waiting on equipment due to overcrowding. It would probably be a 4 of 5 if it wasn't for my other issues. I was a member of this gym for 4 months. I didn't get a tour upon signing up and I didn't see a locker room there which I find horribly inconvenient especially when I have to come during work. I work in a professional setting so changing clothes at work doesn't look good at this business and the only other option was to change in a gas station bathroom which is gross. The other issue I had was the staff. My key didn't work not one time in the 4 month period. I had to piggy back off of other members to get in the door which down right makes me angry. I went into the gym during staff hours not one, not two, not three but 13 times during my breaks at work and with a minimum of 20 minutes and a max of an hour wait didn't see someone go behind the desk. I would go all hours of the day hoping to catch someone and nothing. Finally after this amount of time and patience and lost life's moments I finally saw someone while I was working out. I walked right up to them and cancelled my membership on the spot. Get a locker room and staff your darn business. You probably lose out on thousands upon thousands of dollars of revenue due to the lack of management and staff that is off doing god knows what. Don't advertise what you don't deliver. Me and my wife are joining another gym this week and it won't be this one. Check out planet fitness they know how to do it right.
