Stopped in for lunch on our road trip down south.
First issue was the 45min wait for two sandwiches and some chips, which we were not told was going to take this long when we ordered.
Second was the price, $65 for two sandwiches, a milkshake and chips.
Third was when we ordered we asked if any of the sandwiches had side chips with them (our 11mth old likes to munch on chips as they do), no we were told no side chips hence we ordered the plate of chips. Well guess what came out as a side with one of the sandwiches?
Fourth was the food, pastrami sandwich was average at best, the smashed avo, feta and chicken on sourdough, well the avo and feta was good, the chicken genuinely tasted like cardboard and had the same texture (seasoning people it's not hard).
On the plus side they had a baby change table in the bathroom for the young fella.
Anyways you know things weren't up to scratch when one of the ladies apologises to us as we were leaving about the price, the wait for the food and the lack of food quality.
Next time we will try the pub or just get a couple of pies from the bakery across the road. read more
