In the process I was indirectly called a malingerer-he asked me if I knew what a malingerer was-& made to feel like I was purposely hiding information when I had been upfront in the beginning about anything I thought would keep him from wanting to take my case or be a detriment to it. What idiot lies to their own attorney? I was not expecting to be made to feel that I had to defend myself to my own attorney so I had no faith in my case going to court. If you fear your own attorney you aren't going to have faith in your case being successful. I learned a great deal and a huge lesson about how these processes actually work. I will say that his partner Mr Lyons himself did make me feel a bit more at ease and him praying with me before my in office deposition took away a small bit of my anxiety. The whole experience is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I haven't even posted this review until now because of the fear and negativity I felt from that experience.

I called and called and they flat-out told me they were not reimbursing me and stopped taking my calls. Clearly, a lawyer is too expensive to use for just being owed $400, but Mr. Mitchell worked w/ me anyway. Before I get into his goodness, I'd like to say that I am melo-dramatic over my principles. I was fully committed to spending money I didn't have for a lawyer over this nonsense after the way this business treated me. Many lawyers were not available when the paralegals heard my story (due to the lower-tiered financial outcome for the lawyer in question is my guess.) Many are so good (I guess) that they were always in meetings. Mr. Mitchell was available the first time I called and talked directly to me. I promised him no money up front or anything. He genuinely wanted to hear my story and just started advising me right then and there. He walked me through the entire small claims court process, told me what to do when they defaulted and told me to keep quiet for the next 42 days after I filed the default while the courts work on it so their team of lawyers can't do anything about it once that grace period passed. Not only has he continued to show me the best routes to take in my specific situation, but he even had me continue to call him to let him know how things were going. I've been chomping at the bit to get these reviews out about this man. Little to say the relationship between my grandpa and his children was basically nonexistent.
