We visited the Jumbo grocery store on the bottom floor for all our basic needs. They have a wide selection of American brand stores like GAP, old navy & Starbucks and also their own department stores like Ripley (similar to a Macys). This mall does have a small souvenir kiosk on the very bottom floor where we found key chains and magnets. Other than that there were no other stores we could find that sold Chile souvenirs. The restrooms were clean also. At the food court area, the workers would wipe the tables and empty the full trash bins. They were working efficiently. No matter your budget, you can find something reasonable. For Uber, the pick up spot is near the Hard Rock Cafe entrance.

This is a huge mall in the newer part of Santiago. We stayed in the old part so it's several metro…read morestops away and about 3 miles. Took and uber there and walked back - the walk is not boring as you are on big streets and there's always something to see be it restaurants, shops or parks. The mall has 6 levels and the top is the viewing deck. We gave that a pass as it costs close to $20/pp and overhead views are just overrated. You can see the view of the city when you fly in and out of Santiago and also from Santa Lucia Hill closer to the old part of town and is free (although not as high up). Anyway it's interesting to see the contrast of the newer richer part of town in comparison with the old part. Otherwise the mall just has some huge supermarkets, mostly clothing stores and a very expansive food court with the familiar fast food chains and restaurants. We ended up having a late lunch at Crepe Cafe which is not bad (the food, some staff not so much). The food court has a lot of seating including outdoors although in the afternoon it's sunny on the terrace so can be very hot in summer But would be great in winter.

And then I found myself here at the airport and I hadn't done it. Britt Shop is the salvation and holy crap, it is expensive. I spent $30 for three fridge magnets. I feel like that was way too much. They do have snacks and drinks and reading materials (in Spanish and English) available here. I didn't look to see prices. Sorry!

There are license plates, keychains, t shirts , magnets , jewelry , mini decorative plates, kids T-shirts and toys . many shot glasses and many more things to buy. 5,000 pesos is about $6.00. The pricing here isn't to bad except for the jewelry. I was able to buy a cuff link for about 6 dollars but i believe a lot of the jewelry is handmade. Some things in the store like tshirts , and are buy two get one free, and the license plates as well. I spend about 95 dollars. and was able to purchase a lot of nice things. The airport has a beautiful view of the mountains covered in snow. I actually want to make plans to visit Chile.

Since there are many stores, you can spend a whole afternoon there. There are places to eat, art exhibitions and an insectary. If you're a tourist and really want to take pictures I suggest you do so, but in stealth mode. Some sellers can get really irritated. Overall, is a nice place to spend the day.

We can't speak Spanish and the sales lady showed us the price in US dollars on her calculator. We agreed and I paid for the item with a credit card. When I got back to the hotel and checked my credit card account we were charged 10x the amount that was shown on the salespersons calculator. Whether this was an intentional or an unintentional mistake I don't know. We took the jewelry back in the original packaging to get this refunded as I was not willing to pay this amount for this piece of jewelry. Yes I should have been more vigilant making this purchase but I trusted that this store in such a famous shopping mall had a good reputation. They absolutely REFUSED to accept the return of the jewelry. My gripe and bad review is because of the unwillingness to admit that they made a mistake and were not willing to compromise. There's a huge selection of restaurants to check out. We checked out different menus and actually sat in one spot and left when we realized it was vegetarian. There's music coming from different restaurants and the area is bustling. Definitely a regular area to eat, drink and chill when you're in the Santiago area.
