WARNING TO TRUCKING COMPANIES: THINK TWICE BEFORE CHOOSING RTS FINANCIAL…read more Our experience with RTS Financial has been extremely frustrating and has put our trucking business in a difficult position. Our factoring contract has been successfully terminated, and we paid the outstanding balance of $7,265 in full. Despite fulfilling our financial obligation, RTS Financial continues to refuse to provide our Letter of Release and remove the UCC filing lien against our company. This is unacceptable. We have done our part, paid what was owed, and fulfilled our obligations. All we are asking for is the documentation necessary to move forward with another factoring company and continue hauling freight. To make matters worse, when we asked our brokers for fuel advances to help keep our trucks moving, RTS Financial denied them. Cash flow is essential in the trucking industry. Without access to our funds and the ability to transition to another factoring company, running our business becomes unnecessarily difficult. What is most disappointing is the difficulty of reaching a resolution once you decide to leave. Instead of helping us close our account properly after paying our balance, we are still fighting for a release letter that is critical to our business operations. After researching RTS Financial's public customer reviews and BBB complaints, we also found reports from other trucking businesses describing difficulties obtaining release letters, resolving UCC filing issues, and transitioning away from the company. While every situation is different, seeing similar concerns raised by other carriers is troubling. Our message to other owner-operators and trucking companies: DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SIGNING A FACTORING CONTRACT. Read every clause, understand the termination requirements, and ask exactly what happens to your UCC filing when you leave. We would strongly encourage trucking companies to compare other factoring options before committing to RTS Financial. Do not look only at the advertised rates. Consider customer service, access to your money, fuel advance policies, contract termination terms, and how quickly the company will release your business when the relationship ends. RTS Financial, we have paid the $7,265 balance. Our contract has been terminated. We need our Letter of Release and the appropriate UCC termination filing so we can continue operating our business without further unnecessary delays. Cash flow is the lifeline of trucking. Every day spent waiting for essential paperwork can mean lost loads, lost revenue, and additional financial pressure on a small business. We hope RTS Financial resolves this matter promptly and that other trucking companies learn from our experience before making their decision.

I asked for the postal address to forward documentation so we could get our issue resolved but she hung up on me. Thinking this could have been accident, I phone back immediately and she would not answer. I left a voicemail and still have not heard back. I likewise left a message for Mike Bukaty and I am still waiting a response. This is not the level of professionalism I would expect.

In Jan of 2020, I received an email from Jeff Walstrom stating my ins. would go up to $910 a month effective Feb 1, 2020. I complained and reminded him he quoted me less than 30 days ago, so he agreed to honor the $775 price through May of 2020. In May of 2020, I was charged 910.00 which was not supposed to happen until June of 2020. Then in June of 2020, I was auto debited $1035 without any notification from Jeff Walstrom or BCBS. I emailed him several times and sent him a copies of the rate sheet he provided. Jeff stated the rates increased again in June and the rate sheet was now expired. Now I am paying over $1035 a month for a policy that was originally quoted at $775. My rate was increased of $261.76 in 6 months. I also never approved the auto debit amounts to raise or be changed without my knowledge, so I am filing a BBB complaint. Jeff Walstrom is not a good agent, nor is he good with communication, nor does he follow-up on anything. He quotes you and enrolls you into auto debit, then takes more money that he is supposed to. CHECK YOUR AUTO DEBIT if you have a policy with him.
