Unfortunately, we are moving out of the Rover Achiever catchment area so we have to find another dog walking company. We, both the skinned and furry, are really really going to miss the friendly and helpful staff. They were always very understanding and accommodating for our dog. We started our dog on walks when he was just a little puppy and were quite nervous, but the dog walking team have been extremely caring, responsible, trustworthy and reliable. They have made us feel very comfortable with our dog in their hands and have always texted or called us to update us on anything we need to know! (e.g. dog not feeling well). The team is knowledgeable and up to date with dog information and trainings. My dog is overly excited to go on his walks when he is picked up and it is very comforting to see! We are moving outside of the area that Rover Achiever services and we are so sad to leave! She has experience with bichon frise dogs and Nemo came back looking like a powder puff with a nicely rounded head. When I picked Nemo up, Lynsey gave me a quick briefing on how Nemo did during the grooming which I really appreciated! I got add ons like oatmeal shampoo and blueberry facial and it ended up being about $120 after tax and tip. Just the small dog haircut price is $70-80 which I feel is standard especially since some other dog groomers charge more for bichon haircuts. You do have to upload proof of your dog's rabies vaccine online or show at your appointment. I got a reminder email to upload mine even though I already did so that was a bit confusing. It also did take a couple days for me to get my reservation confirmation after booking online but I think it was because they were super backed up at the time.

In details: Eric tells a lot of stories and then runs out of time to let us run thru the exercise to make sure everyone got the concept. He isn't very friendly or approachable. Yells at people when they do it wrong, but doesn't say what they are doing wrong. The training room is large, but there are 10-12 dogs in there, so it feels very crowded. The acoustics in the large space is terrible, hard to understand what he is saying for normal people, never mind older people or those that English isn't their 1st language. Ridiculous late policy, claims you can't be 5 minutes late, yet he talks so much and repeats the same thing so many times, doesn't really matter when you come in. But sure, it's nice when everyone is there on time. Doesn't allow any dog interaction, as such people aren't able to chat either, so you end up standing there for nearly 1 hour listening to him, do a bit of practice and back out the door. For 10 weeks of class, very few commands are learned. Recall class was very weak, not a major emphasis as advertised. This might be a personal preference, but some people might want to know. The training feel fear based, or as he might say respect based, not a positive type of training. Physical corrections are harsh. All in all, too expensive, little practice, too little learned, Eric is too harsh with people and dogs.

In that respect, we also made up for that time by agreeing that a bath and a dry would not be given and that it would just be a simple hair cut. Beyond our control, my dog took a poop on at the floor of the facility ( my dog always fears getting cuts). The women advised my mother to clean it up in a very disrespectful manner. My elderly mother clean it up right away without hesitation. The women than turned to my mother and told her that she was no longer cutting my dogs hair.
