Last time I visited Kane's Furniture was about four years ago. We decided to stop in to see if we would find anything that appealed to us. Upon entering, Hexan greeted and welcomed us. We told Hexan what we were looking for. He guided us around the sales floor and showed us different options. We looked at living/family room furniture on the first floor. We took the elevator to the second floor to see the dining room/server sets, bedroom and bedding. We actually found a few pieces that we like. We made the selections we wanted and set up delivery/pick-up arrangements. The process was easy. We bought several rooms of furniture from Kane's in Ocala, FL about 3 years ago and also bought 5 year care plan for all pieces, including powered love seat. In July, powered love seat became non-functional. It took about two weeks to get a service rep to try and fix it. It needed a small electric part. Service rep thought it would be sent to me from Amazon. A few days later I was told the part had to come from China. Here it is 3 months later and still no part. My wife has a bad back and really needs the powered recliner. I get no help or sympathy from them or from Kane's. If someone from Kane's reads this, please help me as no one else from Kane's seems to care. read more

Absolutely get what you pay for here!! Ordered a really nice outdoor set. The frame looks great after 3 years but the cushions are total garbage. They are under roof not exposed to sunlight and just look terrible. We came to this store to BUY new cushions. They said they only way we could get new cushions is to buy the entire set again. There is no way to contact the manufacture ( or no way provided by their less than helpful "manager") We were also going to buy several new outdoor pieces and accessories but decided not to spend one more penny with a company that provides 0 customer service. read more

We bought the Coolidge cocktail table, end table and chairside table in June of 2020. As well as the Peoria couch and loveseat. Was not delivered until October of 2020. Immediately had an issue with the cocktail table and end table. The corner of the bottom shelves was sheered off. Took Kanes months to get that sorted out. Now one of the chairs on the love seat is sagging, there is a rip on the back side of the chair cushion, there is a rip on the top side of the chair (where the back leans against) you can see the yellow cushion and white fibers. There is a wood bar that you can feel in your back when you recline. Kanes had someone out to look at it today and they said it was fine. WTF?! It is not fine. We have had this set for 6 months! We bought 2 recliners, came home gave a great review, then delivery came up. Called salesperson Melanie Perryman, while talking we got discontinued, she never called back. I emailed her twice. No response. Had to call customer service when she would not respond. Found out our delivery is a week later than originally told. Planned on going back to look for chairs or loveseat, not any more. I bought what I thought was a leather sectional about 5 years ago. I thought would last at least 10 years. Come to find it's not all real leather. The seat basks are pleather and it's all peeling away. Called customer service since I had the lifetime warranty but they will not replace they it's normal wear and tear even though they sold as all leather!! read more

The absolute worst! From start to finish. I just left & my whole soul was irritated so I decided to go ahead & write this review. Walked in...they all sitting at a table cackling...ok. Then a lady with short black hair walked up. I politely told her I'm already working with someone & that I'm just taking a quick second look at an item. She asked me who I am working with. I said I don't remember the name bc I left the card in the car. She starts annoyingly badgering me saying she needs to know the name & I'm messing up her sale points, to go get the card out of the car and she starts rolling her eyes when I turned around not knowing my daughter was still looking at her! This is inappropriate on soooo many levels! If my daughter wasn't with me I would've let her have it! Then when leaving the same people were cackling at the table at the entrance & NOT one said bye or have a nice day! And when we walked outside we were hit with cigarette smoke from 2 salesmen smoking right in the front! Ewwwww!!! I would NOT purchase anything from these people! Hello,  we made a purchase on April 23 and were verbally told that we would receive our furniture by the first week of June.  I called the last week of May just to make sure our delivery time was still on target.  I was then told  that our furniture would be in Orlando by the second week and delivery will be set at that time.  On June 7 we called for status again and was told that there was going to be a delay and that we would receive our furniture by July.  At no time did anyone contact us to update us on the delay or to ensure us of the delivery expectations.  The manager was unable to speak with us on the phone so we went into the store.  We stood at the counter for about five minutes and no one acknowledged us, later finding out that one of the managers was sitting at the counter amongst the other three associates. We  were finally assisted after asking for assistance. The sales person Eduardo Salinas made it seem as if we did not understand what was said when we made the purchase, so we asked for a refund The sales person asked manager to process and while we stood there waiting for another 10 minutes or so, Eduardo ask the manager again to process and she had given it to someone else to complete.  This letter is to inform you all that your customer service is not what we expected.  We chose Kanes because of the quality, price and reputation you all have, you all have lost a customer. I don't even know where to start. We walk into Kanes, and were greeted by Robin. Mind you we have purchased furniture from Ashelys, Rooms To Go, Havertys and Baers, and most of them had strayed away from the looming stalker-ish sales associate. NOPE NOT HERE. My plan is to never tell them what I am specifically looking for and we are just looking. She followed us though the entire store, we got upstairs and my husband and I were settling on a dining set. We decided we wanted to purchase it, and she was no where to be found. We eventually found her just talking to another associate. Then she keeps telling us we need the wood protector, we need it we need it. FINE, I'll buy the damn thing. After we purchase the dining set, we see an entertainment unit we really liked but needed to go home and measure our wall. Robin told us that she will email us a link that is basically credit card authorization, so that we can just call and add it to our original order with the same delivery date (which was 2 weeks out). Fine. We didn't get the email, ever. We called the store a week later to add it, but was told that NO we have to go down in person. UGH, fine! So we go down in person a couple days later, my husband is battling a cold and I am 6 months pregnant. So he goes in to add the entertainment unit, thinking it would be really quick... 10 mins pass by and i text him. They are trying to sell him more pieces so we can get a discount. UGH NO, we just want to add the damn entertainment unit. I grab our toddler and waddle in there. I ask them why its taking so long. Something on their end which was the fault of our original sales associate who was helping my husband. So after about 30 min, come to find out THE DAMN UNIT IS ON BACK ORDER. Fine, call us when it comes in.... The following week we get a call from the store 5 times. FIVE! They kept asking for our gate code (no, we will provide it to the delivery driver) and 2. Did our delivery address change? WHAT? So my husband asked for a manager and the woman just kept talking over him, he told her to stop talking and put a manager on. Apparently it is their policy to keep calling you to verify the delivery address... WTF. I called last week to get an update, and with the impending storm she understandably told me to call back after. Fast forward to today. My husband received a call from robin (yay) and tells us that our unit is in, but if they hadn't gotten a hold of us by the 23rd they were to going to sell it to someone else. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? You can't sell something THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR. Last time we EVER shop at Kanes. And per the other reviews, its a moot point calling the manager or anyone in corporate. I am not usually one of those people but... I spent a GOOD amount of money in that store. This is ridiculous.Save your self some stress and go somewhere else. read more

Love this store, the associates are annoying but they are fighting with the dog pound at the entrance to get a sale. We wanted to test beds today to get an upgrade and they wouldn't let us finish, before pushing the sale. Cypress the gm wouldn't shut up while we tried to enjoy the bed we might think was "the one". Because while my wife is a degreed sleep therapist, he decided to share his educational levels of sleep with us. Poor Cypress or Cylus. He sounded like he knew something, but geez we are trying to put two and two together, and couldn't enjoy being the weirdos laying in beds in a store. So then he offers his discount of $300 off anything else in the store, it states clearly $300 dollar discount card for anything in the store if you buy a mattress. It also offers 48 months 0 finance for mattresses, not here, only 12 months. Finally free delivery, which is great! But you still have to pay the taxes ahead of time, which for a nice mattress is pretty hefty. It would have come to $400 dollars or so. We went with a new tv, and ordering a sleep number online which will be cheaper in the long run, because Kane's in Ocoee, and Cyber the manager was a major waste of a good Sunday none the less. read more

We have only had item since Aug 2019 and he writes that this is normal wear and not structural defect. I will never purchase from this company again. read more

The worst place to buy furniture. I paid for it in full online and paid for delivery. When I spoke to them to set up delivery I was informed that the dining set would not be in until October and that they don't deliver out of state! No where on the website does it state any of this and why charge for delivery that was never going to happen. Now I have to wait for 15 buisness days to get my money back! Since this review is clearly negative, I thought I should start off by saying something positive about my experience. Here it goes... The store I bought my furniture from didn't smell very bad. Whew...I was able to get something positive in. Now for the rest of my experience. I bought an entire living room set from this location. Because I have pets, I got the lifetime warranty (just in case) Ironically, my pets haven't touched it. Nope. It just falls apart on its own. I noticed springs falling out of the bottom Of my couch-- a lot of them. So I called KANES and told them of the issue. A service tech came out and looked at the problem. While she was there, I showed her how the seams in the cushions were coming undone. Mind you, this isn't a rip or tear, it's literally the fabric coming apart from defect. The tech said she could repair that, (along with a bad cable for a motorized reclining section) and she ordered replacement parts. A few weeks later, the parts arrived--and they were the wrong parts. The same tech came back out. Took more pictures and ordered more replacement parts. Then 9 months past and I didn't hear a single word. I went into the location and asked what the status on my repair was, and the person I spoke with said that they simply dropped the ball. Then, after another month of ghosting me, they ordered more replacement parts. The new person I'd been talking with told me that they no longer made the cushions that came with my couch. (I wonder I'm why...oh yeah! They hemorrhage springs left and right) she asked me if I would mind replacing only one of my 5 cushions with the new parts. I said I didn't want to make my couch a Frankenstein of different cushions, and she said they would just replace all of them. No problem. I get a repair date scheduled, and then a few days before, I get a call telling me that they need to reschedule AGAIN, and that the repair person needs access to my house for 10 HOURS! I said I didn't feel comfortable with opening my house up for that long, and she said she understood. At this point it's been almost a year of living with a broken couch, so I told her I didn't want the couch anymore. She told me that she would call me back with an answer... The next call I got was to confirm me for an appointment I said I didn't feel comfortable with. I called the store to talk with the woman I had been dealing with, and she told me that she couldn't authorize a refund or replacement. I asked to speak with someone who could do that and she told me that she would have someone call me. That call still hasn't happened. I did get a nice automated recording once again trying to confirm me for an appointment I had now said TWICE that I didn't feel comfortable with. This is not only terrible customer service, it's fraud against a lifetime warranty. It's a waste of time and money, and if they simply took care of the situation the first time, my review probably would have been about how great it was that they corrected the problem(s). So, don't make the same mistake I did. You are better off going on a random Tinder date and asking to buy some of their furniture. At least you have a better chance of getting that person to call you back. read more

We made our first purchase at Kane's this month. It was a great experience. We saw Swati Suchak in the store and were also helped by Erin Wood and Cyrus Pahlavi. They all did a great job. I found their prices to be very reasonable and the quality much better than Ashley's. We used to buy everything at Ashley's, but they have just gone so downhill lately. Their communication is excellent. Via phone and e-mail. I'm an e-mail guy and that surprised me because a lot of stores do not give employees access to an e-mail. The scheduling was great and they have the best delivery team of any big store. The gentlemen that delivered my order were the best I've seen. Super neat, very careful around a tight staircase and very friendly. Definitely a great experience and I will check with Kane's first when I need my next piece! They dont even deserve one star! I have encountered several unpleased shopping experience before, but definitely this one is the worst and to the point for the first time I have to write it out and let more people know!!!!! We purchased a set of furniture from Kanes Furniture on early December and would have it delivered in two weeks from the purchase date. two days after the purchase I decided to cancel one of the items we purchased and they canceled it for me over the phone and agreed to give the refund since it was before the shipment date. because I did it over the phone so I did not have the receipt or anything. one week later all the furniture was delivered (the item I cancelled was not there) and the invoice the driver showed me showed that the status of the item was REFUNDED. They did not give me the receipt. this was happening on late December. Since that, I have contacted the store and the corporate at least 10 times and spoke to both sales and general manager and I even called their corporate. And everytime they told me the refund was either processing or either waiting for the corporate to approve. Finally they told me they would give me the refund but would have to withhold the delivery fee. THIS IS TOTALLY MAKE NO SENSE, since I cancelled it before it shipped. Therefore it never left the warehouse! Then they said they found out that we purchased a reclining chair 4 month ago under this order, but was shipped to a different address. The corporate women argued that this shouldnt happened and the delievery fee should have been charged. First of all, we asked about this when we purchased that reclining chair and the sales said that no shipping fee would be needed. THATS WHY WE MADE THE PURCHASE!!! Second, maybe the sales did the wrong thing, but excuse me that is your company's internal issue(poor communication and mangement), you cannot put it on customers!!! This is not the only thing we ordered, We ordered a whole set, spent several thousand dollars! the store manager told me that he would get me the rest of the money back but just need to be approved from the corporate. But now it has benn more than 3 weeks, every time i call and he said the samething that there is nothing he could do on his end. Then he pushed everthing to corporate and gave me the corporate phone number. I called that number and talked to that dispute lady last week, she told me she would contact the store and definitely would contact me back soon, but as of today, I have heard NOTHING!!!! This whole company is a Mess!!!! One more thing, we bought a marble dining table from them. After it was delivered we noticed that there were many crack spots or little broken pieces on the surface. Their service man came and inspected and told us that this is normal as it is the nature of the stone. I disagreed. It is obviously not natural. it was manufactured. my whole kitchen and bathrooms are granite stone, I know what natural defects look like!!!!The service man told me that someone would reach out to me within 48 hours about this, and again, NO ON CONTACTED US!!!!So, last week I called the store and again was trying get the hold of the irresponsible manager about this. and one more time the lady picked up the phone said she would forward it to manager and he would call me soon. Where do I begin.... Stepped into this store August 13th last year looking for bedroom/living room furniture. Purchased furniture from a sales guy who appeared to know his stuff.. decided to use their credit option as there was no interest for two years of payments. One of these purchases on my paperwork was for Furniture Protector. I thought I was only buying a mattress protector which is mandatory when purchasing a mattress. This allows you to exchange the mattress should it not be as comfortable as you thought. Moving on - furniture got delivered - my cocktail table was not what I ordered. Called the sales guy and he suggested I call in to the store. In the meantime, the mattress I received I also believe was not the correct one. Keep in mind, the adjustable base is not eligible for a refund (799.99). Moving on - visited the store and the sales guy had me talk to the manager. The manager insisted that I needed the Furniture Protector that I wanted to return. NO I Didn't! I discussed with the manager the wrong table and the very uncomfortable mattress. He strongly recommended I keep using the mattress, as I had 3 months to test it. My back was saying otherwise. Moving on - I showed him the cocktail table that I believed I ordered. Now I'm thinking this has been settled. I kept the mattress, I was exhausted from his pushing to keep trying. I didn't hear anything for awhile about my correct cocktail table delivery so I called the sales guy. He told me it would be delivered on the following Sunday. Did you know Kanes do not deliver on Sundays? I did not know that until that Sunday when I called the store to follow up. Now, I'm to angry to even describe. I went into the store and discussed my problem with a different manager there. She was helpful and referred me to another sales guy to assist in the changes. I wanted a different mattress and sort out my table. Apparently, when you go on their credit plan, on returns, it appears you can't get a refund, but have store credit. I thought OK, whatever, only to find out my new mattress needed a new base. Yes, I should have remembered about the no refund on a new base(799.99). It would have been nice for the sales guy to remind of that. That money is now free money to Kanes. I have emailed both the manager and some random manager that appeared to be high in the management chain. I wanted a itemized list of what I purchased and if there is a store credit I haven't used. I purchased a bonded leather sofa and couch from Kanes in 2009, By the end of 2011 my couch looked horrible. The head rest was peeled off. Nothing wrong mechanically. I figured; Since the commercial states "lifetime warranty" I would be covered. So i went in and showed them a picture of my couch. The rep was helpful and said they would have a tech out to look at the couch. When he arrived he barley looked out the couch just took pics and left. 2 weeks passed no follow up, i called the Corporate office where i was advised that it was wear and tear and it was not covered under the "Lifetime Warranty" she also was nice enough to tell me not to purchase Bonded leather" The part that bothered me most was no one even offered maybe a discount on another couch. Worst customer service experience ever. Ordered furniture and set up delivery date, phone call confirming delivery on Sunday for Wednesday delivery extremely rude person. Stated they would call the day before delivery with a time. NO phone call Tuesday. Driver calls Wednesday morning that he is at my house. No phone call from him prior to either. Since no one was home we now need to schedule a different delivery date... Phone call to corporate office was not any help either. At this point I am glad I didn't receive delivery. We spent a lot of money here and regret it! We bought a sofa which was supposedly leather that peeled. We even had insurance on it but they only gave us a third of the money back only if we bought another sofa from them. We also got a dinning Room set which all the chairs have collapsed while sitting on them. We could have been sued by a guest we had at our house when the Chair collapsed and they twisted their ankle. The manager was hostile and rude ( I am handicapped and had difficulty getting to store since no one would return my calls I had to go to the store in person ) My 7 day old umbrella for my table snapped in half because it is plastic all the furniture is made in China. Moved to FL from CA, needed all new furniture so we went to a few places before we found Kanes.. At first we loved the store, lots of stuff on the floor n not just in a magazine and Michael our representative was awesome.. Problems started occur once we finally got to clean n check the furniture.... Stuff was poorly put together, many items chipped, too many problems to name... with SO many of the pieces we bought. Customer Service here SUCKS! They play the run around game. Says someone will call u back and never do they ever call back.. They are the worst with dealing with any sort of customer service. Very very disappointed. Spent well over $8,000 here and got no real help with their ghetto furniture... literally had to explain the problem with their furniture and lack there of customer service at least 8/9 times... like no notes taken on our repeated calls. What kind of joke is that? And the "Manager " there always is "busy" and cant help a customer who is having an issue. I bought an office chair and after a few days, the seat cushion sank down to the plywood. I called and was told a technician would have to come out to examine the chair - but that wouldn't happen for three weeks. Since I work at home and have to sit in a chair all day, I resigned myself to buying a chair somewhere else and hoping the refund would cover at least part of the cost. The technician arrived, took pictures even though I told him there was no physical damage to the chair. He pushed down on the cushion with his arms which doesn't look like it would equate my weight of 170 pounds. Then I'm told by customer service that there was no damage so I'm not entitled to a refund. We "discussed" this at length and the final straw was when the customer rep told me there is "no guarantee on comfort". Well, why in the world would I buy a chair in the first place - as a decoration piece? After much back and forth, I agreed to a store credit but with a 30% stocking fee imposed. We bought several rooms of furniture in October to furnish a new home. One of the pieces was a dual recliner love seat with cup holders. By January, the silver finish at the top of the cup holders had started to peel, a situation that continued to worsen. We notified Customer Service at the store and they advised us to send them pictures. Customer Service ordered new cup holders, which never arrived. To make a long story short, we finally received the cup holders in June after several attempts to re-order them. Apparently there was a mix-up between the store and the warehouse. What started out to be a frustrating experience had a happy ending and I just want to commend Melissa in Customer Service for all her patience and help, as well as store manager Rich. I know things happen but they really stayed on top of this and now have a satisfied customer. read more

Extremely poor experience all the way around. Details don't matter too much, but it was clear the salesman on my purchase made a mistake as we designed a sectional order. The manager i spoke to agreed it was a mistake after trying to avoid agreeing. Then offered NOTHING to the customer. I had to buy another ridiculously expensive piece to complete the sectional(we thought originally was included, but can't prove). The bottom line is that the Kane does NOTHING to right a wrong and the manager of a store has ZERO authority to do anything either! Fairly unthinkable these days. I subsequently did not receive ONE SINGLE email or notice asking me to RATE my purchase experience(total just under $3k), also unthinkable these days. Avoid Kane. read more

Wish yelp would opt for zero star rating because that is what Kanes would receive. We purchased a large sectional that had to be special ordered as we changed a couple of pieces and added an extra piece. The receipt indicates the amount paid for the sectional and the additional charge for the extra piece. Upon delivery the extra piece was not present. Just as all other reviews indicate, management and corporate avoid your phone calls. The only way you will speak with a manager is if they accidentally answer the phone. But do not expect a clear answer from them or a return call. I actually had an associate refuse to put a manager on the phone more than one occasion, stating "The manager will tell you the same thing I am telling you." Corporate will not entertain the idea of speaking with you until AFTER you speak with the store manager- convenient, I know. Corporate and the store associates report they must account for the missing piece before they can make a decision on how to handle the situation. Mind you, a piece that Kanes probably never even placed an order for and put on the truck from St. Pete to head to my Southern Lake County home. Anyhow, after countless harassing phone calls to the store it is finally promised I will receive a refund for the extra piece. Suddenly, a week or so later I receive a call that corporate declined the refund. Corporate reports that I technically did not pay for the additional piece because the couch was on sale and the associate gave me a larger discount than I was supposed to have received anyhow. Remember what I said about my receipt- the receipt indicates the price I paid for the sectional PLUS the extra cost for the additional piece (no discount applied on the receipt!). I tell corporate F it, I paid for it, send me the extra piece. I am told it will be at my home within a week. Of course, typical Kanes style I receive a call that the piece is still on back order (just as it was when I placed the order almost two months ago). This tells me Kanes never ordered the extra piece in the first place and attempted to gain an additional 200 dollars worth of profit. I told me husband I did not want to do business with this lousy company because of their reviews. The purchase of our couch truly came down to the fact that almost every sectional on the market everywhere else has partial leather, which our cats will destroy. I urge you to not do business with this company. On the front end they appear to have excellent selling skills. After they swipe your card and you walk out that door, the communication is cut off, customer service goes down the drain, and they find a way to screw you out of your money for their own profit. We bought a mattress here 3 weeks ago and so far we are very pleased. We bought a $250 mattress pad that we are not pleased with. We put it on the bed but when we went to put the sheets on it they kept sliding off. I ended up taking the mattress pad off and tried to return it. They told me that they have a no return policy and it doesn't matter if we ever used it or not. When we purchased our mattress, we were impressed with the salesperson. The delivery was another story. Terrible service. They never spoke once to me while they carried in the mattress and box spring. They dropped the mattress once on the ground and the box springs twice while bringing it to my house. I asked them a question and they just ignored me. Worst delivery service I ever experienced and then to find out they have a no return policy on something that is brand new and was never used. I will never buy from them again. Nor will i ever recommend them to anyone. Its too bad because we were quite impressed with the service we received in the store read more
