If I could give this office 0 stars, I would…read more Every time I had an appointment, the office was running behind. It was common to sit in the exam room for 15-20 minutes before the provider came in. My first physician, Dr. Guzman, was wonderful, but she left the practice. I was then assigned to Dr. Pinkos, who I also liked. Unfortunately, she left as well, and no one informed me. I only found out when my pharmacy requested a refill for my prescription and it was denied. I completely understand that an appointment is required before refilling certain medications. My issue is that no one notified me in advance that my provider had left or that I needed to schedule an appointment. By the time I called, the earliest available appointment was a week away, and I was almost out of my medication. The medication I take for anxiety and depression should not be stopped abruptly because it can cause withdrawal symptoms. I asked if I could receive a small refill to get me through until my appointment, but I was initially told it was against office policy. When I explained my concerns about withdrawal symptoms, I was told to go to an urgent care. Later that same day, the office was miraculously able to schedule me for a telehealth appointment that evening. However, during the telehealth visit, Dr. Maria Braun spent much of the conversation arguing with me and repeatedly placing the blame on me for the situation, despite the fact that I had never been notified that my provider had left the practice or that I needed to schedule a follow-up appointment. I left the conversation feeling unheard and blamed rather than helped. In addition to that experience, I found the office to be unprofessional overall. Maria, the Director of Office Operations, was not professional in my interactions with her. The staff also routinely called patients back by simply saying, "Come back," instead of using patients' names or verifying their name and date of birth, which is a basic patient safety practice. Phone calls were also handled unprofessionally, as staff often failed to introduce themselves. Overall, my experiences with this office have been frustrating due to poor communication, long wait times, and a lack of professionalism. I would not recommend this practice.

Do not go here! I had a appointment scheduled with Dr Erlikh at this office as a new patient. I…read moreshow up on the date and time it was scheduled for (30 minutes early actually) and immediately I knew there was a problem. The receptionist at check-in had a very confused look on her face. She started to tell me I was in the wrong place, but then asked me again what Dr I was seeing. I told her and again she was confused. She disappeared for a minute and came back and said there was a problem. I was told my appointment had been cancelled by an employee that did not work at that office. I ended up being told that someone at my GYN's office cancelled it in the computer (they are both part of the same medical group). I was told the doctor was too busy and could not see me and was only offered one choice of another appointment on a day where I had to work. I was punished for someone else's mistake. I had medications that needed refilling and now have to wait another 1 to 2 months for an appointment because that's what new patients have to do. I have a friend that goes to this office and the same GYN and said she has a hard time believing the GYN office would have done that, but that Berks Internal Medicine is a train wreck and were probably blaming someone else for their mistake. I don't have a problem with humans making a mistake, but being that it was NOT my fault, I should have not been turned away because of an error someone else made. That is the way they practice and I will not go back and would recommend to anyone to find another place to go.
