Dear Patrick, I'm unable to respond directly to your comment so I'll leave it here…read more We were instructed to put together boxes labeled by table number with decorations and directions/pictures on how we wanted them. We were told the decorations would be put on the tables by your team and the tear down/set up of the room would be taken care of by Russo's staff. That may not be what is on the written contract but it is 100% what my fiance and I were told. Which is why we put together boxes and a binder to be organized and helpful. I have never spoken to you so I'm not sure how you know what was discussed with us and what was not. I stated above the communication prior to our wedding day was horrendous and it was very hard to get questions answered. Maybe if communication had been better any confusion on expectations could have been cleared up. Aside from that, if you had properly read my review you would have comprehended that my complaint was not with the fact that your staff didn't set out the decorations, but with the fact they didn't communicate that they weren't going to until 10 minutes before the reception started. As I stated above my mother showed them the boxes, decorations and binder before the cocktail hour started and the staff member agreed with my mother that they would set it out. If it wasn't in the contract and they weren't planning on doing that then that was the opportunity to let that be known. However, they waited until 10 minutes before and that made us run 40 minutes behind schedule. To address your comment that the outside bar closed and the inside one opened... how were my guests supposed to get to the inside bar while they were at the outdoor cocktail hour? They could not enter because my mother and bridal party were setting up the inside of the building. Therefore my guests were outside with a closed bar while the bartender was at an empty inside bar for 40 minutes.

Several of the St. Louis cousins decided to hold a family reunion, and needed to find a reasonably priced, nice restaurant to hold a dinner for 70 members of the family, who got together for the first time in decades. I was sent to scout out Syberg's private dining facilities, and was very impressed with the newly renovated room. The price was reasonable and we had a buffet with three entrees, potatoes, pasta, vegetables and salad. The price included tea, coffee and desert. The room was set beautifully, and the tables had very nice linens and place setting. The food was wonderful, served hot, and professionally. The staff of the restaurant was attentive and very professional. I heard nothing but praise for the quality of the food, and how nicely it was served. Definitely consider Syberg's if you have an event. We had plenty of room, and everyone could mingle and chat after dinner. Top flight facility for an event.

I got a personal msg from Drew…read more(owner) in short order & he was extremely apologetic & willing to do whatever it took to remedy to situation to my satisfaction. Not only did he do so, he went many steps above & beyond the call of duty to do so. He invited me back in for another try, to allow me to sample the food as it was meant to be. The first thing I notice what the music was extremely pleasant & welcoming, so a great ambiance. I was greeted by Drew's manager John, who was made aware of my situation & he asked me what I'd like to try & of course...I was thrilled just to have a sample of the chicken salad, the rotisserie chicken & the burnt ends. John prepared for me a very nice plate of a 1/2 rotisserie chicken, a few pieces of the burnt ends & a healthy sample of the chicken salad. (I have to note....the 1st time I tried this, it was the very best chicken salad I've EVER had, hence my enthusiasm for wanting it again!) Honestly, I felt as though I was in a different restaurant than I was the night I had come there with friends! The chicken salad was as amazing as I tried it the first time, the rotisserie chicken was juicy, tender & well seasoned & the burnt ends were a treat in and of themselves! Tender, juicy, full of flavor and something one might consider crave-able. My first experience here was amazing and the friends that took me here come all the time raving about it. I shared that experience with them, and therefore couldn't wait until I could bring a group of friends with me to enjoy this gem in Creve Couer. When I wrote my initial review, it was not with the intent to bash the owner, the restaurant or the employees that work hard to provide the experience we all come to expect. I simply wanted to reach out to the owner so that he knew what was going on while he was not here. If he's not here, he won't know. If I don't take the time out to say what is wrong - how will he know that maybe something needs to be corrected? I am the first one to make sure an establishment knows when they are doing things RIGHT (and not too many take the time to do so). This was literally the very first negative review I've ever given, and this experience and how well the owner & his manager handled it taught me a valuable lesson. Instead of writing something out there to the public, I will make a phone call from now on to seek the kind of caring resolution that I did receive! I am sincerely grateful for Drew's expeditious response to my review, his resolution, and John's tremendous execution of that resolution. I'LL BE BACK OFTEN - 5 STARS 4 SURE

Although we went with the burger bar, they do also offer more traditional catering as well -- they have an incredibly expansive menu. The 5 course meal was perfectly portioned to leave comfortably full, and the wine and cocktail pairings were exceptional. For future events, we will definitely be ordering different options between vegan and meat, wine and cocktail, for sharing. Our friends had the vegan option while we had the meat choice, and there were a few of their dishes I would have liked to try. On the other hand, I wouldn't have wanted to give up more than half of any of my courses, they were all so delicious! I forgot to take photos of several of the courses, but the risotto and broccoli were from the vegan option. All of the vegan dishes got huge compliments, but the risotto was resoundingly a favorite. The other 3 pics are from the meat option, and all were amazing! The lamb and pork belly were both melt in your mouth! Of the cocktails, the vanilla old fashioned and lavender spritzer were particular favorites. Last, the service was second to none. The servers were professional and attentive, but we also got a strong feeling of cameraderie amongst the entire crew. I loved that Melissa, Chef, and staff made the rounds for introductions and greetings as time allowed. Such a great energy. I hope for many more opportunities to dine with Chef and Melissa!
