Pandemic bride here!!! Kandace did not 1 but 2 weddings for us!! When I say i'd never to go to anyone else...believe me, she is a complete gem! Extremely flexible and captures the most beautiful photos. We had the privilege of having her capture our intimate vow wedding in 2020 after we cancelled and our big wedding this October 2021! Cried at both the photos and hope to cry again during our mini fall photos! She even gives you a sneak peak the very next day which was a sweet treat during our honeymoon! The way she is able to capture simple yet important photos blows me away! I'm extremely camera shy but she made both my husband and I feel so comfortable. I love how she uses honeybook, it was easy for us to manage payments and communicate with her 1:1! Thank you kandace for making me a happy bride twice read more

Kandace is by far the best photographer I've ever seen. SHE IS INCREDIBLE. For real - I canceled my other wedding photographer when I found out she was available on our new wedding day. Worth. Every. Penny. When initially shopping for wedding photographers, Kandace caught my eye with her talent to truly "capture the moment," as well as her flawless editing style. I was bummed when I found out she was booked for our wedding day, but continued to follow her on Instagram anyway. After our wedding was pushed back, I reached out to do a quick photo session with my fiance, and we found out she was available on our new date. It was a no brainer to part ways with our other photographer and hire Kandace. Both my husband and I agree that it was the best decision we'd made for our wedding. If you are looking for an incredible photographer, look no further. Kandace is professional, funny, kind, and TALENTED. Thank you, Kandace, for your INCREDIBLE work!! read more

Kandace took my maternity photos and my son's newborn photos in 2018. She was SO helpful during the sessions and I loved how she guided us with posing and angels. It can be sort of awkward to have your photos taken, but she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She also paid so much attention to detail with our clothes, hair and posture. I've never had another photographer be so helpful and pay so much attention. She provided us with sneak peeks on her social media page so quickly after our sessions, and delivered our galleries very fast as well. Kandace delivers beautiful, high quality images and is so fun and easy to work with. I only wish I had found her earlier so she could have done our wedding! read more

I hired Kandace as a photographer for my wedding in San Francisco, September 2019. After following Kandace on Instagram, I was immediately impressed by her work, and her emphasis on photojournalist-style photography; where she captures the candid, little in-between moments that make your wedding day special (like the moment right before my veil blew off my head!). I don't have to tell you that Kandace does amazing work (you can see this for yourself on Instagram, or her website), but I wanted to share a little about why my husband and I loved working with Kandace. We arranged to do an engagement photoshoot with Kandace at Lands End in March. It turned out to be a gorgeous day, so gorgeous that there were about 1000 people there. We also insisted on bringing our 6 month old puppy on this adventure, and he was a total pain-in-the-butt the entire time. So while the shoot may have been a little chaotic, you'd never know from the photos. Kandace artfully found perfect spots where we had a little privacy, beautiful scenery, and (of course) great lighting... and all else fails, she managed to photoshop anyone who got in the way :) She also brought her husband along, and he helped wrangle the dog! On the big day, we spent a ton of time with Kandace and Joe, her husband who once again came along to help out (he is awesome!!!). Kandace had a truly special way of making me & my husband feel at ease -- we're not people who love to be in front of the camera, but she makes the whole experience feel natural and fun. What truly amazed me was when my 2-year old nephews came on the scene and had to get their pictures taken, Kandace totally shifted her approach to being goofy in order to get the kiddos to look at the camera & smile. That moment of seeing Kandace shift her strategy to get the best from whoever is in front of her lens... really showed that she's a true master of her craft. The photos from our wedding speak for themselves. I couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Kandace for our wedding and would strongly, strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a bay area wedding photographer. She's truly amazing! read more

Where do I even begin?! Kandace is THE DREAM. My fiancé and I got engaged and planned a wedding during COVID. Kandace was incredible. Professional, kind, considerate, communicative, easy to work with, and flexible! Our engagement shoot was perfect and so far beyond anything we could have asked for. When we had to change plans from our large wedding to a small backyard wedding (and postpone the original plans), Kandace put my mind at easy. I can't wait for (both?) my weddings and I'm so grateful for Kandace and her gift! I can't say enough wonderful things! read more

AMAZING. Before my husband and I even got engaged, I knew she was going to be my wedding photographer. We were absolutely speechless when we received our wedding photos back. Her booking process was smooth and she was on top of everything. She made us feel so comfortable which made the shoot so much fun and easy going. She captured so many intimate moments that still has me tearing up when looking at them. She is the way to go!!! You definitely won't be disappointed :) read more

Kandace is amazing!! I've known her for over 10 years and she's the kindest most personable person. I've never done a couples photoshoot so my engagement photos were my first and she guided myself and my fiancé through all the best poses and where to put our hands, etc. The photos turned out AMAZING! I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Kandace, thank you so much for the beautiful photos, we absolutely love them! read more

WOW! We received our wedding photos from Kandace this week and I cannot recommend her enough! Kandace was highly recommended to us by my best friend, who also happens to be a very talented event planner. When I asked her for her top vendor recommendations, she instantly insisted that we contact Kandace right away (and mentioned that Kandace is her favorite photographer to work with, which means a lot since she works with many very talented people!). We could tell from our first meeting with Kandace that she was going to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She was honest and knowledgeable, and just overall very kind and friendly. Our wedding was moved due to Covid, and we so appreciated her flexibility with changing dates and making it work! When the wedding finally happened, she was beyond easy to work with. She is such a calm person, she has a vision, and she is very clear with her verbal directions. Kandace made sure she had a list of our must-have pictures and got them all (plus went way above and beyond!). The photos she took captured all of the happiness, fun, the beautiful scenery, and the emotions of the day and I am so grateful! THANK YOU SO MUCH, KANDACE :)! read more

Kandace is seriously the best! We have had 3 separate sessions with her: first, a newborn session for our 10 day old baby boy who is now almost 3... second, a "mommy and me" mini session when the boy was almost a year... and most recently a family session with the almost 3 year old and my husband. ALL the photos are incredible and make us look SO much more beautiful than we really are. Kandace is incredible with kids and helping us figure out what to do with ourselves, since nobody in our family has any modeling experience and would otherwise look awkward. And she does all this without ending up with staged/posed looking pictures. We can't recommend Kandace enough! Seriously, book her today. read more

Kandace is absolutely amazing! Her style and eye is impeccable - and it shows in her photos! I have worked with Kandace in the industry, but this was my first time working with her on a personal level. She is communicative, friendly and makes photos fun! I decided to book her for my maternity and newborn photos and I am SO glad I did. She is so thoughtful, took the time to go scope out the location I wanted to find the best spots. When it came time to take the photos, it was so awesome she did that because she took us to the BEST locations to get the most beautiful photos, ever! She is personable and friendly, making sometimes awkward shots fun and silly - we got some amazing candids too! She made the experience so memorable! When I got the gallery back I was BLOWN away. She takes the most beautiful, romantic but moody photos. I am obsessed with every single photo! I adore Kandace and cannot wait to work with her again on our newborn photos!! Thank you SO much, Kandace!! read more

Not only was she professional, timely and took INCREDIBLE photos that we will cherish forever and my family and friends absolutely love- but she was so friendly and personable. It made something that I was a little (to say the least) stressed about feel like a magical day. The photos are a touch stone to loving memories. And the quality of the photos and the lighting are insane!!! I have already recommended her to anyone who will listen. And will keep recommending. And this is just for the engagement photo session. I cannot wait for our wedding day pictures. Kandace is worth her weight in gold for what these photos mean to me. Selfishly I like my pictures better than any other engagement session I have seen and friends of my moms have also said they like our style/ photos better than the ones of their own kids engagement shoot. Which I think says a lot! She's SO great at getting the little moments so nothing feels forced. And not that it's super important but I feel skinny when I look at pictures of us and I NEVER feel that way. Hire Kandace. You'll be so happy you did. read more

If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would!!! I was so blown away by Kandace's professionalism while still being so personal with my husband and I. We got married in November of 2022 in Piedmont, Ca and Kandace absolutely blew us away with how amazing our photos were. We felt all the magic and memories come back as we were viewing them. She does a great job of not just shooting the posed looks but also a lot of candid shots. Kandace felt like family and made me feel very comforted on my wedding day. Hiring Kandace for your wedding is definitely an investment that is 100000% worth it. All you get back from your day are the photos and we will forever cherish having such incredible wedding pictures. Highly, highly recommend! read more

A picture is worth a thousand feels..., She came highly recommended by our venue (Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley), and we are so happy she was our photographer. Kandace is professional, talented, creative, passionate and caring which comes through in every image. Kandace was in control during our entire event, maximizing the natural beauty of the venue, lighting, angles and mix of composed and raw moments. We are so thankful she captured all of the special people and memories that we can enjoy forever. As a bonus, she provided us with at least 25 pictures the day after our wedding to hold us over until the rest were available. We LOVE every image she delivered!! She is fantastic! You can check out our wedding album on her blog page! Yay! Thank you Kandace, we look forward to working with you again. read more

Hold up....(wait a minute!) Can't believe that this award-winning photographer can exude sincere professionalism in a way that oozes with friendliness, humbleness, sugary sweetness and a badass eye for photos....ALL.IN.ONE. Her work and sheer brilliance is something you can already see immediately. Research her and get ready to be wowed on your own. So this review is mainly for the behind-the-scenes/ on the other side of the fence. I had the serious pleasure working with Kandace as the wedding coordinator in San Francisco recently at the Bently Reserve. The timeline was packed, the involved parties were large, shuffling from 2 locations in busy SF and the day was long. But Kandace never broke a sweat, nor broke good character. I've worked with enough photographers where the annoyance of the long day is shown in their private eye-rolling and under-the-breath cussing (but I catch them all, and I immediately cross them off my list as future recommendation--c'mon, show some class!). From minute #1, her and I were exchanging clear and detailed emails preparing for the wedding day. And at the site visit, rehearsal and day-of, I totally felt like the couple chose not only an incredible artist---but a homegirl for life :) Kandace exemplifies such sincerity, that you can see she's not transactional but definitely relational. She's fast on her feet, quick to answer calls/texts on the day-of, sticks to the plan and communicates from point A to B to Z. She immediately went from vendor to Frendor in my books. I love her work ethic, her business style and she's simply a JOY to partner with-- on both sides of the fence! You NEED Kandace as your photographer. She will knock your socks off. All the vendors will love working with her. She will become your homegirl. Oh....forgot to mention. She gave sneak peek photos to us the next morning after the wedding.....WHO DOES THAT??!! #rabbitfast #notplayingaround Definitely locking arms again with Kandace in the future--she's truly a gem. Thank you Kandace for everrrrything!!!! read more

Kandace has a true gift for photography! She shot our Mt. Diablo wedding a few weeks ago and just delivered an amazing gallery that brought me to tears! If you're looking for an art photographer to capture all of the intimate moments of your special day, look no further than Kandace! From start to finish, Kandace was warm, professional, and easy to work with. My husband and I are admittedly a little shy in front of the camera, and Kandace was able to help us relax and loosen up enough to capture some beautiful sunset shots after our ceremony. My only regret was not booking her for an engagement shoot! I will definitely be calling on Kandace to capture our future family milestones! read more

There are photographers who take good pictures. And there are photographers who take pictures that make your jaw drop. That's Kandace - she's much more special than the average photographer. Our family has been working with the incredible Kandace for three years now. Her talent speaks for itself, her images are just gorgeous. In all our years working with Kandace, we've been through rain, fussy and/or tired kiddos, a toddler who refused to smile (at first!) and more. Yet no matter what's going on, Kandace has managed to capture the best images. We have cherished the beautiful photos she's taken and used them on our holiday cards, birthday invitations and more. Not only does Kandace take great photos, she's a complete joy to work with. She's punctual, she delivers her photos timely as promised, and she's a total professional! She can get our toddler to smile even on his feistiest days! read more

We have used Kandace twice now for a newborn session and family Christmas session. Kandace is simply amazing!! I wish there were more stars to give a vendor cause Kandace deserves it all! I can not brag about her enough! As a person and as a photographer! She far exceeded any expectations we had. She photographed our wedding just this past January 2019 and we just got our wedding photos! It's only been a month! which is SOOOO MUCH faster than we expected to receive them! Ive heard of friends not getting their albums until about 3-4 months out! Along side that, you notice all the hard work, love & attention to detail she puts into her work! We were able to truly re-live our day through the photos! BUT! Besides the amazingly talented photography work she produces -- she was thee nicest & sweetest person to work with. I've been a part of more than a ton of weddings myself within the past few years and each photographer has been a little too stern and abrupt and easily irritated but Kandace was anything but that.. she was easy going humble and was able to get the job done in a respectful and fun way! I look forward to be able to work with her again as we continue to reach other milestones in our lives! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Kandace!! I have worked with her both professionally (I am a wedding planner) and personally (she has done MANY family photo shoots for my family).
