Essentially, it is just a really trashy place. My friend lives in Mornington so I've gone through Frankston a few times to get to his place and every time I'm there, there has been consistently drunk young people half-dressed walking around barefoot. Nothing troublesome, just obnoxious and trashy. Every now and then you come across a druggie, and the taxi services rig their meters sometimes (confirmed by an honest taxi driver lady). And as a girl, you might come across drunken men who are less-than-subtle about what they want from you. For the most part, Frankston Station isn't trashy. But will you be awfully uncomfortable and want to leave ASAP? Yes.

Like a lot of these new stations this one is actually pretty big, and they certainly do add quite a few facilities to it, including staffed ticket rooms as well as waiting areas. It's pretty impressive, and while I don't remember the previous station, I suspect that it is much, much better than what used to be here.

Okay, there are some rest facilities nearby, and a shopping strip, but honestly that is really about it. Oh, trains do stop here, but then again you would sort of be hoping for that with a railway station. Yeah, it really doesn't rank all that highly in my books though.
