DINE IN DURING PANDEMIC…read more One way in, one way out, mask/face shield/temp/alcohol hand wash/questionnaire mandatory when walk in. Most patrons and workers wore only masks. Staff are friendly and shout greetings as you enter. They're hardworking, efficient and you can ask any one of them for assistance. You order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. Many menu items are not available, so ask before ordering to prevent disappointment. After ordering we chose to sit at the table furthest away and most isolated from the others. There was a screen and a fan facing away from us: hubby said it was to blow the Covid germs the other direction HAHA! They have a nice, spacious dining area with comfortable seating both inside and outside. We ordered the sausage breakfast. The "toast" was very pale, next time I'll have to tell them "well done". Other than the toast, breakfast here is always a solid choice. Because of the pandemic we rarely go out, so to celebrate we had the Tiramisu Macaron and Affogato for dessert. The ice cream in the Affogato was too sweet for me to eat by itself; but it balanced perfectly when paired with the bitterness of the coffee, not bad. The macaron, on the other hand, was meh. I'm sure it would have tasted much better fresh from the bakery; but the macaron was already stale. I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the area. It's menu is primarily breakfast, Italian (pizza and pasta) and American cuisine. Cute, cozy coffee shop with friendly staff and an eclectic selection of background music: smooth jazz, the Beatles and I even heard Smooth by Santana. Coffee beans are from Columbia and Ethiopia and Desserts are made in house. WE ORDERED Breakfast - tapa chewy - pancake dry - hash brown crispy but oily - egg undercooked - store bought sliced bread Lunch - Hamburger which comes with fries - patty was dry and edges hard while the bun was super tough like it was microwaved too long. - (Imitation) Crab and Mango salad - wilted and dressing bland - Strawberry cheesecake is microscopic. Very dense, reminds me of a New York cheesecake. Decent taste but pricey. - Hazelnut iced latte - not bad The only things I would come back for would be for coffee and dessert. During the day, it's a lovely place to chill out for a bit. Squeezed in between Envy Bistro and Hammer Disco Night Club, next to the Fields walking Street arch, and across the trike terminal.

I was staying at Park Inn and this is the only 24hr coffee shop. Thank God I found it! The decor is nice but don't be fooled. It is not French. It is mostly breakfasts, some alcoholic drinks and italian fare. I think it fits in with what the area offers, considering the normal demographics. Got the Filipino breakfast: scrambled eggs with corned beef and garlic fried rice. Rice was hard. Corned beef and eggs were good. And they gave me my iced coffee as part of the meal package - win!

E've heard about Chef Sau Del Rosario so we wazed our way to Cafe Fleur. It's an old house converted to a 2 floored restaurant. Cafe Fleur offers Thai food and Filipino food. We didn't try their Thai food but concentrated on our old time Filipino dishes. The Tamales Pampanguena is divine. Try de-constructed it in a way that it is like a creamy paste with the usual tamales flavors. It goes with 2 pieces of bread where you can spread the tamales or just simply eat it in its cream form. You can taste the coconut milk and the peanut flavor. There's also shredded chicken and salted egg. The tamales is really good and I won't mind ordering another one. We also tried their Crispy Pancit LugLug. At first look, it like a bowl of seafood. It's an upgraded version of our old time favorite palabok. Instead of the big noodles, they used Sotanghon noodles. It's not the crunch that I was hoping for. It's a by firm as a it crunchy. But the flavor is awesome! Love the shrimp sauce of this dish. It has crispy fried shrimps, boiled shrimp, tuna pasta flakes and hard boiled egg. Another element that they added is shredded kani stick. It really goes well with the shrimp sauce. It is really great and this order is good for 2-3 persons as well. And for desserts, we tried their best seller Bibingka Cheesecake. I was hoping for a more Bibingka flavor to it though. Basically it's a cheesecake with salted egg and grilled cheese. It actually works. The sweetness and acidity of the cheesecake compliments well with the salted egg. It's not that salty and plus the grilled cheese element, it is awesome. pongTrip Recommended: - Tamales Pampangueno - Crispy Pancit Luglug

I am a cat lover. I've had to be satisfied with feeding strays, playing with store kitties and hanging out with my friends' cats. Cat cafes are my type of hangouts, so I was looking forward to visiting Coffee Cat. The cafe is separated into three main enclosed areas: a large dining area that can be used as a private party room, a smaller cafe type room, then there's the cat room. You gain admission to the cat room just by purchasing anything from the cafe. I would suggest to definitely buy some cat treats (P65) to attract the cats and help them to warm up to you. Before we went to play with the cats, hubby and I snacked on a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of tomato soup (yummy) and a blueberry cheesecake (too much cream cheese). Periodically the cats are taken to the back room for rest and feeding times, so we had to wait for the cats to come back out. I was the first one to go in; you need to remove your shoes and sanitize your hands before you enter. Two cats immediately hid, while the rest gathered around me because I had the treats. Beware of the Savannah because he/she will steal the treats from the other cats. I had to toss treats away from the others, and while the Serval went to get it, I gave treats to the more docile ones. I would also suggest to put the treats on the floor instead of trying to let them take the treats from your hand, you might accidentally get nipped. Now I've volunteered at a number of shelters, socialized many cats and even raised one from a newborn. In my opinion, these cats need more socialization. After all the treats were gone, they stayed apart from each other and from us hoomans. They weren't cuddly nor affectionate, and seemed to only tolerate the petting and scratching (didn't hear any purring from any of them). Only the munchin seemed to want to play; we had to use our fingers and keys as toys since there was only one toy available (you can see it in the video). Not all of them are neutered/spayed as evidenced by the gray Scottish fold trying to mount one of the females; she was not having any of his nonsense though and he gave up trying. One thing I do have to say about them is that they do have a good variety of cats to observe; however, I was sad that I didn't get to see the Sphinx because it was asleep in the back room. It's not easy to get to, we had to take a Grab. If I lived close by, I would stop by often to help socialize the cats. If you're not familiar with cats, I would suggest to bring a cat person with you to teach you how to interact with them, unless all you want to do is observe them. A couple positives: didn't notice a litter box smell, and we didn't leave covered in fur (they must groom them often).

Yeah, he's a keeper. I found this beautiful cafe during one of my morning walks. As soon as I stepped inside, I knew I have to arrange a luncheon here with my girlfriends. Glittering chandeliers, tufted couches, dainty chairs, and floral walls made my inner shutterbug jump for joy. We went after church service because we were already dolled up: pearls, high heels, painted nails, and wearing our Sunday best. This cafe is located on Fil-am Friendship Hwy, near Westfields International School; look for the big heart arch in front. The entire staff greet you as you enter; but before you start snapping away, you'll need to first place your order at the cashier (house rules). The menu is a toss up: not everything is good, so choose wisely. Our recommendations: mamon, spam silog breakfast, blueberry smoothie (made from pureed fruit) and their hazelnut cake. The prices range from low to high and their menu has Korean as well as Filipino dishes. After you order, stop by their display shelves and pick out a crown or head wreath, then make your way to their many gorgeous backgrounds. We even found a faux flower bouquet that we used as a prop for our pictures. FYI: there is a fee if you use a regular camera, but not with a cellphone camera. Our drinks came out pretty quick but the food was slow; it worked out well because we took our time posing for pictures and chit chatting. Staff are friendly and helpful; they'll gladly take pictures of you and your friends. They have a party room for big groups that's free of charge, just as long as everyone orders off of the menu; but you should reserve it in advance to ensure your time slot. They have free Wifi, an aircon and a bathroom. So, I'm giving Cafe Tiara a generous 4 stars as an IG haven for grown up women who need to let loose their inner princess.
