They are so kind with their words and they are all extremely smart. Please disregard what I said at the start. I have frequent outbursts. I saw a staff member drop a giant rock on some kid's head at the recent sport event. Other than that, the school has incredible facilities, incredible staff members and many lovely events.

I think all my classmates loved this school too. Caulfield grammar school is a private school that also has a Caulfield campus. The teachers are incredibly talented and friendly, by the end of the year there is a real friendship between student and staff. The facilities are first grade, the buildings are new, the equipment is new and the rooms are very well maintained. The wheelers hill campus offers a swimming pool, ovals, tennis courts, gyms, theatre, dance room and a rock climbing wall...just to name a few. The classes are well taught, and the school community here is probably its winning factor. Every single student here feels united to one another thanks to the bond created by the school. The two main campuses often meet to create relationships; some of my best friends today are from the Caulfield campus. I loved my school, and I will definitely do my best to get my kids into Caulfield too. If your seeking a school for your kids, I would 110% recommend Caulfield grammar school.

FLN offers courses in arts, immersion programs, literacy, maths, CALD and much more. I had the opportunity to volunteer here through a program at work and am so glad I did! I helped from 8:45-1:30pm for a day - Frank (teacher) taught a class of about 10 that day and volunteers helped with reading, writing, and math skills. Don't be scared if you don't have a Masters in English or mathematics! This place is friendly and students come from all sorts of background and hardship. Ever try learning and living in a new country where you don't speak much of the preferred language or have not had the opportunity to learn about how to save or buy items at the grocery store? These are the things we helped out with and I would love to go back here again in the future as I met lovely people that communicated with their eyes, hands, and smiles. No matter what backgrounds students came from, everyone put in hard work and helped each other out though hardly anyone spoke the same language!

Now I'm doing a tiny one year dental course from this institute, and it's the worst decision I've ever made. The teachers are mean and unprofessional! We have 2 trainers everyday teaching us different methods and have an absolutely different explanation for what they want. The admin people keep loosing our unit marks and send us letters stating our slow progress. When my class complained about this they simply apologised saying the trainers dint send them our updated scores. The teachers keep screaming uselessly, if you don't get anything they make you feel like a looser and insult you in front of the whole class. I suggest don't ever apply in this institute ! We have filed complaint forms too but they do nothing about it.

So I thought what the hell it's close, I'll give it a go. I'll admit being an institute I was a little nervous thinking some student hack would leave me looking a bit worse for wear. I walked in and one of the teachers quickly found someone to help me. Walking towards the back of the building to the treatment rooms I was a bit concerned but my beauty therapist was chatty friendly and über professional. The treatment rooms were spotless, not as pretty as other salons but hey with the cost of an eyebrow wax only $11, less then half of the average full service salon I don't mind a spare treatment room. My therapist was excellent. She was not a student but rather a full time employee who works there, so treatments are done by experienced staff. She also trimmed by fringe and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came to $19. Apart from hair and waxing they also do massages, pedis and manis. I will be back and will be referring my friends to go there as well. Great value for money and great service.

Taking a class at the Humble Tumbler is the perfect opportunity to learn a lot about wine in a fun…read moreand friendly environment, similar to that of a dinner party. Each class takes place above The Kodiak Club, on Brunswick Street in a fitting venue. The room is set with one large table, four wine glasses awaiting your tastings and platters of appropriate cheeses, bread, olives and/or salami to match. However this all depends on the theme of your class (or course), with the Humble Tumbler now offering wine, craft beer, whisky and sake courses! I was lucky enough to take part in the Adventures in Food and Wine course recently and I was super impressed! To be fair, I should point out that I won the spot through a Yelp competition however I would genuinely recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about (and tasting some great) wine and the best ways to pair it with food. It was so well-done that I'm looking at my diary trying to work out what other course I could try, the French wine masterclass is looking pretty tempting. The four-week course is $300 with classes typically going for 2.5 hours each week - in my eyes, this is great value for money. All the notes are packaged really sweetly in a little take-home book for you to read through later (perhaps in a more sober state). If you're after a Masterclass or "the gastronomic equivalent of a one-night stand", you're looking at $95 - I think this would make a lovely gift and yes, you can purchase as a gift voucher. Clare is brilliant. She explains technical concepts that make sense to beginners but keeps it interesting with stories and anecdotes of her own experiences. This is not a pretentious or dry class, instead social conversations and your own opinions about how you find the wine are heavily encouraged. It's a small group setting and after a few tastes of wine, there's definitely no reason to feel shy about sharing your opinion (even if you're more on the beginner side in the world of wine). You'll learn far more in an evening at the Humble Tumbler than on one of those group bus wine tours, not to mention you'll have an excellent time whilst learning. All in all, a great experience I would highly recommend. Cheers!

Maybe my palate was not refined and I should stick to the cheap stuff. After one night with Clare, I knew that this was going to be different. We started with the basics of taste and how it related to wine. Then onto how grapes and winemaking. All the while, with wine in our hands and some great cheese to boot! It is vaguely reassuring to hear that even as a wine maker, she freely admits that she is never quite sure how to describe a wine (we all had a giggle at one of her wine labels) There is no pretence, there is no fakery or tricks to get you to buy wine you don't like, or don't want. in fact there is no wine on sale at all. So sign up and come along for some laughs and some nice (and not so nice) wine and you might just learn a thing or two. Note: So far I have only done Clare's Wine Tasting course, there will be others, namely the sake course! Updates to follow!!
