Lots of water around, the moat, the fish Ponds, the fountains. Lots of animals around, horses, ducks, etc. Ideal for a little weekend trip for the whole family. Families sometimes visit also the local horses from the neighbors.Vegetable gardens around, if you ask, sometimes they even sell you some of their fruits or vegetables the museum can easily compete with the famous Carnuntum and also offers a huge train and small Messerschmidts. My friend and I took a walk through Schlosspark Esterházy (Esterházy Castle Park) when we spent a…read moreday in Eisenstadt earlier this month. The park is the home of the castle itself (which we visited the following morning), but the park itself is worth a visit. There's a little lake, an orangerie, and a structure called Leopoldinentemple (Leopoldine Temple), which was beautiful. We wandered through the park for half an hour or so. It was beautiful and lovely, leisurely way to end our day in Eisenstadt (the capital of Burgenland).
