The rabbi is very thoughtful adding somewhat of an east coast ethos to his erudite Jewish training that keeps things very interesting. I stumble along to follow the Hebrew throughout the service but find the Shabbat respite to be worthwhile even with my limitations. It is worth mentioning the building and facilities are superlative.

My husband and I were married at this church. So, needless to say, we have many fond memories here…read more While engaged and in the early years of our marriage, we would attend their Latin mass if we were in town for the weekend. Now that we have very little ones, I prefer their English mass. I visited this past Sunday with my son and it felt particularly homey. There were many families with kids, which always helps to put my mind at ease. The last thing I want is someone complaining because a four year old can't sit perfectly still for a full hour. My favorite part of mass is always the music. Their singers are particularly lovely. It's especially nice at Christmas because who doesn't love Christmas carols?!

This review is for the semi annual ravioli dinner which happens on Palm Sunday and in October…read more Today was the 107th anniversary of this dinner. Truly a must for anyone in Cincinnati you get in line wait at least an hour if not more, cash only and treated to some of the best Italian food made with love by generations. You can order ravioli only, spaghetti and meatballs only, or a combo meal. I recommend the combo so you get a mixture of ravioli spaghetti and the most delicious meatballs you ever have. They also sell wine on site & you can buy frozen ravioli to go. Learned a tip for next time, buy extra meals and bring to go containers when your extra plates arrive immediately put that food in the to go container and then you have some to enjoy back at home.

Rabbi Sanford Kopnick and the rest of the staff and leadership are all warm and caring and really strive to make everyone feel like a part of the family. My kids love going to the Religious School, they even had a great time when we were all virtual! There is always fun and engaging programming going on and not just from the Temple as a whole. The Sisterhood and Men's Club have wonderful events open to the whole congregation as well. I would highly recommend Valley to anyone looking to join a reform synagogue.

Rabbi Kopnick has managed to work well with all the congregates from the children to our senior members. It is a place I feel at home being there and it is like having a "big" family. I have participated in many aspects of the Temple from attending services to volunteering on the board and even being president for 2 years. Just come and experience it yourself. It is a very personal experience with a small congregation!

One of the staff members directed me to their pre-school room so that my two year old could play and not disrupt the service. We also went in here during the Bat-Mitzvah. I've searched for years and years for a church that has some substance. I even tried different…read moredenominations. I was so looking to be nourished with the Word of God. I was going to church, but not getting much out of it. I was doing my Sunday, then nothing at all, thing. I "wandered" for 40 years. Then a couple years ago, God led me to the Oasis Church in Middletown, OH. Yes, I watch on line... But I live in the mountains of Colorado and churches are far and few between. Oasis Church IS the real deal! They serve Meat and Potatoes to those who sincerely want to hear the Truth and true meaning (definitions included) of God's Word. They don't serve "milk and cookies" so you just want to roll over in your bed and take a nap, instead of pursuing a growing and meaningful relationship with The Father. Oasis Church is for those whose heart is yearning to unite with His Heart, for His Revelation, for the True Knowledge of Who He Is, for guidance and direction of Holy Spirit and a way to worship Him humbly and completely. Oasis Church is not for the faint of heart, but for those who seek complete healing... of body, mind and Spirit. It is for those of us who will totally set ourselves aside to open our eyes and ears to His Powerful Messages to direct our paths, especially during this time! It is not about us. It's not about putting on a show. Oasis Church is ALL about GOD! I'm so thankful and blessed to have found Oasis Church... HIS Timing IS Perfect! (I just wish it were a little closer, but I always feel His Spirit, Who lifts me up, whenever I connect on line.)

There is a lot on the other side of it that has a walking path, but i wouldn't advise taking this at night. That and you will walk for quite awhile just fyi. It's your typical Catholic Church festival. They have silent auctions, bid & buy baskets, a smaller but decent children's rides area, gambling tents, and tons of little booths for kids and teens. The beer isn't bad, and they have a selection. A few different food vendors, some tucked away in back though. All in all one I would go to again.
