I didn't do much comparison shopping (because of what I just mentioned!) but the price seemed comparable to the one other quote I received and reasonable (at least by Dorset standards!). Now about the project: my Garden is a fairly small rectangular plot that had a chain link fence with overgrown ivy and mulch. They removed as much ivy as they could, built a wooden fence around it, removed the mulch and laid down beautiful tile. They built a small pergola and also a bar. I passed on the options for plants and lighting (doing both myself with a friend) to stay within my budget. All in all, this project far surpassed my expectations --- they transformed a small pile of dirt into fantastic entertaining space. A few other notes: -Alan is extremely responsive, especially by text and was very receptive to ideas from me. -He clearly has a lot of experience working with small Gardens -- had a lot of great ideas. -His team was friendly and professional -You can rely on Alan and team to finish the job. He is very trustworthy (a big concern when you're putting a lot of money down).
