She directed me to her Facebook page. I saw good reviews and some great photos. I liked what I saw. I paid $89 for the photo shoot and $10 for her shipping. She arrived and took many photos. She frequently checked the images on her digital camera after taking them as many photographers do. After the session, she told me she would have the images to me a week later. Several weeks later she sends emails with images attached. The image size was so small I could not use them for printing. After emailing her she asked me if I wanted a disc. She indicated that she would send one to me. It took her over a month and half, a phone call and several emails to send me the disc she promised to me with my families photos on it. When I opened the images, I was more than disappointed. She sent me a disc she had already used with someone's Halloween photos on it from 2014. I guess she doesn't keep new discs on hand. She did not capture one single photo that was in focus. Every image was blurry. She put some awful effects on some the pictures but did not professional touch them up. I have tried to call her to talk to her about this and she will not return my calls or emails. She has had several negative reviews on her Facebook page which she has removed. She is not a photographer (she might like taking pictures but she is not talented with a camera). After some investigation, it appears she is using someone else's photos on her Facebook page. When asked about this she replied that they are her daughters (not her work). She is scamming people out of their money and sadly their memories of important events in their life!

Nina helped me tremendously in the planning, gave me a rain date incase out date didn't work out with weather, showed me a similar shoot she had just done which was an engagement on the beach so I got an idea what I was going to be getting, and she was super personable and friendly which made it so easy. Now for the day of, she did such an amazing job keeping in touch with me and with being early and set up on the beach. We recently did a quick family getaway to Sarasota to celebrate the big 6-0 for my mom. Since the…read moreentire family would be getting together (a rare occurrence with everyone living in a different city), I thought it would be nice to get family photos. I reached out to a bunch of photographers via Yelp, including Gold Sun Studios. Allison responded immediately and when she explained her pricing model ($100 for 15 photos) I immediately asked what the catch was because I've hired several professional photographers in Chicago and that's by far the most affordable pricing I've seen. Not to mention her photos on Yelp and her website were really good! When she promised me there was no catch I booked Allison for an hour long sunset session on the beach of our hotel. She was very responsive leading up to the session and arrived right on time. And for once I even got my kids somewhere on time too- vacation agrees with us! We took a few photos of the entire family and then she ended up taking a bunch of candids of everyone. My kids were having a blast playing in the sand and getting wet; it was definitely one of the more relaxing and fun photo shoots we've done. The very next day (speedy!) I had all unedited photos in my inbox. I think narrowed it down to my 15 favorites and she returned the edited versions the very next day. And they perfectly documented this special trip/birthday. We really liked Sarasota so think we'll make our way back at some point and I would definitely call Allison again. in fact, I've already recommended her to everyone I know taking vacations there and/or are lucky enough to live in the area.
