Wood cheaper than at the gas-station (even if you have to buy it on the premesis). Canoe/Kayak rental and ride on the premises. This is a little gem of a campground that's pleasantly filled with comforts and modern amenities. The campground itself is very small, but it's quiet, & has a steady body of water. I will be staying here again. I spent the weekend sitting in my hammock and enjoying hearing the water. 5/6 of the cabins face the water just as an fyi, so it's like a private paradise. The town of SoHa is really fun too and a great place to wine, dine, & explore. The cabins are basic and rustic with one plug in to charge your electronics. There is one light in there but it does get dark at night. Bring a nightlight. The queen bunk beds are great and comfortable. I would say more like 2-3 people could comfortably sleep in a cabin due to space and the cabins get hot at night! There's showers, there's toilets, there's cabins- oh my! The showers run on a unique token system. 1 token=$1=3 minutes of hot, private, shower. Tokens are purchased on site. the showers are game changers because they're open 24 hours with cameras outside so the owners monitor who goes in/out and your safety. As a queer person, I felt comfortable & safe at this campground.

Owners allowed people next to me to continue to mess with my electric plug on camper which ended up costing alot.. nothing done or said about it, my vehicle has had mud rubbed down side with nothing done about it, trash blowing around nothing done about it. Dogs are constantly loose and most are aggressive also nothing done about that either.. the owner mike is a nice guy but if his wife decides she does not like you for whatever reason your going to be treated poorly. If your not into drugs and chaos i would NEVER recommend this place until you see a under new owner sign. This is not a campground or even anything close to it. It is worse than the worse trailer park in your area. The location is fantastic unfortunately is being wasted

The people working there were very nice and upfront about the do's and don'ts and what to expect. They warned us the river was low and there were some large branches that had fallen down onto the river. We found it was a relaxing, scenic, and though at times required paddling to avoid branches, it was a wonderful time just lazily floating down the river. At the end of the trip they showed where to use the showers and hoses in case we wanted to clean up. I'd give this place 5 stars but they have to work on removing the trees that block the entire width of the river bc it's a pain trying to climb over them. I'll be coming back with more visitors!

The unique things it has are cool bikes (3 wheels, that balance on their own) that you can pay extra to use. We were at a yogi bear cabin that has a comfortable queen bed in a back room, a second room with 4 bucks, and a cotton in the living/dining area. It's camping in that it's not squeaky clean, you have to bring linens, towels, etc. Some cook wear is provided and plates, cups, & silverware. Bring sticks for s'mores & fire starters. Firewood is nicely cut but 8+/bunfle. Really burns well. There are no leftover things like salt/pepper or coffee--bring it all. I didn't even get one garbage bag. Come prepared & you'll have fun. Ceiling fans were a lovely surprise. As noted, some staff is pretty green--we never could figure out if laser tag was available. It's a fun place, the pool is cold, and the ice cream is yummy.

While the previous occupiers of our site hadn't bothered to clean up after themselves, we got it done quickly, and it was no big deal. Always, always, ALWAYS leave your camp site cleaner than when you arrived is our immutable, unbreakable rule. Bethany and Gregory, the owners, are absolutely wonderful hosts; incredibly friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. The site itself was absolutely gorgeous. We chose a primitive site, as we roll heavy with a full solar power array and bring our own water. We were tucked far enough back to give a fair bit of privacy, but were also lucky enough to be near the porta potties, which, trust me, at 4:00 AM, is a very nice perk to have. We were in Spots 3-4, from August 12-18, 2022. Thanks, Gregory and Bethany - you guys were absolutely fantastic! The campsites are well situated and clean with level areas for a tent or RV. Many sites are provided with both electrical and water access. The camp has a dump station on site and also has staff who will dump your tanks at your site for a modest fee (so you do not have to unhook and move, then rehookup back at your site during an extended stay). The bath house is an older facility but is kept clean and in excellent condition. Showers are free and hot. The on-site lake is small and very nice for both kids and adults. Access to Lake Michigan is available just minutes away at a public access beach. Across the street is a Nature Conservancy area with several trails. We decided to take advantage of the option to book a site for the whole season (May through September) for our RV. It has been a wonderful decision. We can pack a small bag and be in the RV enjoying the sights and sounds of nature in less than an hour without towing or setting up anything. We really enjoy this area and this campground.

Middle of nowhere, across the street from the riverside kayak dock. Not too far from home but far enough it feels like we got away. We arrived Friday evening. Full park. Full hookup site with a patio area, and fire pit. Our site was the second space across from the clubhouse, store, and pool. Thankfully the pool was closed or it would have been a very annoying visit to hear yelling and splashing kids all day. The site was fine. Backed in our 35' 5-er just fine because we beat a few people across the road. It would have been very tight otherwise. We are fully self contained, so with the exception of check-in we kept away from everyone else. It was surprisingly easy. Their store has a lot of necessary items but mostly treats to make your stay a bit campier. We biked 10 miles to town and back. Dropped in for some kayaking too. Read the signs. There are red runs for advanced kayakers on the river. Logjams, and very high water really made for exceptional conditions. We got to a point we had to turn back and paddle upstream to the launch site at riverside. River was too obstructed. Also note, there is no getting off the river between riverside and the 10.5 miles into town. I don't recommend it. The 2.5 mile run from Bundy rd is quick and easy. Check river conditions before attempting any run. The high waters change river landscapes. I hope you have your own equipment because the rental places either aren't open or they blow you off. Back to the campsite. With all of that, the KOA was central to all the activity. Easy to maintain distance and still get out and be active. Great activities for kids with the jump pad and pond to catch frogs. The facility offers a perk of charging your store purchases to your site, so you don't always have to have money on you. They deliver pizza, Fire wood and ice. They also pickup trash daily between 8am-6pm. Staff is very friendly and quick with a smile and well-wishes. We'd surely go again but would get the deluxe patio site on the concrete. The rain storm Sunday night flooded a lot of sites.
