I went for a standard cleaning at end of August they they told me I needed a second appt and told me the receptionist would call me next day to schedule the seconds half of cleaning but never bothered to call me back. They have billed my insurance for the cleaning that was partially completed so do I just sit and wait for them to eventually call me back to schedule? Or wait until my insurance covers another cleaning next year and start with a new practice. I hope they all are not like this?

Upon finding the website I really liked the online chat allowing me to discuss my needs, provide my information and wait for patient care to schedule my appointment. Within a few hours I received a call from Becky who was friendly and pleasant, which made me feel completely at ease for my appointment. I've visited many dentists over the years and have found some front desk personnel to act inconvenienced and rude when speaking to patients on the phone. I'm sure the medical career field is stressful but life is to short to be unhappy, so if you hate people or your job so much, find another career. So it was refreshing and reassuring that my initial phone conversation paved the way for me not to dread going to the dentist. I also visited during COVID-19 and they practiced exceptional awareness to keeping patients healthy by requiring face masks, hand washing and social distancing. Even going as far as wiping the front door handle for each customer approaching. Upon arrival there was little to no wait and I was seen by Dr. Emily O'Connor who really had a hands on approach to her patients. This office seemed to have plenty of staff who mirrored the same friendly and professional attitude as the office manager and Dr. O'Connor. Since this was my second consult, the initial shock was over and I half expected a poor diagnosis. The fact that Dr.O'Connor wasn't able to provide a treatment plan at the time of my appointment was very reassuring! Knowing my xrays, photos and exam was going to be thoroughly assessed truly made me feel confident in my care. It makes me question my first consult and the provider being able to make a diagnosis and plan within a few minutes. Besides all that what really struck me as the most interesting was Dr. O'Connor who took the photos and a few of the impressions instead of leaving it to the dental hygienists, which I've always seen done at other dental offices. In fact rarely have I ever spent more than a few minutes with a dentist and in my experience, most of my appointment is with the hygienists who perform all the work. Seeing a dentist perform tasks, that could easily be performed by the staff, conveyed a sense of team work and an office who valued the employees. Equally important doesn't make patients feel like they are just a name on a chart. I would highly suggest a person to visit O'Connor dental if you're looking for a new provider or just unhappy with your current dentist. The entire process was seamless from the moment I made first contact to walking out the door and I'm fully confident my dental needs are placed with the correct dental provider.

The office/ billing person took a long amount of time to run my insurance and she called them with questions. She came back with a price for my portion of the procedure. I had to pay this price in full before it could be started. I also asked that they get the X-ray from my other dentist since I had all ready paid for them, when I made the appointment. The dental assistant said they did not get my xrays , but that they would not charge me for them. The temporary crown was not comfortable and I had more pain with the temporary than I did with the loose bridge. I felt as if they rushed the temporary since it was a holiday weekend. Today I received a bill for 128 more dollars. No list of charges just a PAY NOW bill. I noticed when looking on my insurance that the out of network doctor s prices were covered in full. So looks like my visits and my family will gravitate to the dentist with reasonable prices and a honor when giving pricing for procedures. I have had other procedures at my other dentist and I have never been billed more. So your 128.00 bill cost you much more since my spouse needs a crown.

I had a temporary crown put on Thursday at my normal dentist while my permanent crown gets made. After just 12 hours the temporary crown popped off and the at home glue was not working. My dentist is closed on Fridays like most others. I called Bellevue Family Dentistry and spoke to Meredith. She understood my situation and was able to shift a few things around and get me in within two hours. This is unheard of as I am not a patient of there's. The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and they were able to mold a new crown for me in less than 45 minutes. The pricing was extremely fair too as they do not take my insurance. I cannot say enough about Bellevue Family Dentistry. If you are looking for a new dentist I would HIGHLY recommend you give them a try.
