What a cool shop!! While exploring Kirkwall, Orkney, and the surrounding area of this part of…read moreScotland, we came upon Judith Glue. Looked like a good place to check out for souvenirs so Wifey and I dropped in to check them out. This shop is more than just a souvenir shop as we soon found out. They have an assortment of merchandise plus a cafe. The cafe is situated at the back of the shop. All the merchandise is located at the front of the store. The merchandise that stood out to me were all the lovely sweaters. I believe they were all made locally. Speaking of made locally, Wifey spotted a beautiful piece of artwork that she absolutely had to have for our home. The decorative plate was created by one of the local artists! By the way, the price was more than fair and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you are visiting the area, you are sure to find a souvenir that you want here. Make sure to check out this shop whenever you are in this part of Scotland!!

So, I found two flavours of San Pellegrino that haven't seen anywhere else (Aranciata Amara and Melograno e Arancia). Re food - the Bannock with local chutney and cheese was scrumptious although I did get a slab of butter and bit into it thinking it was cheese! Also got salmon sandwich as takeaway - great local food and the coffee shop has the local handmade chairs so got to sit in those and they were very comfy! The cafe does have free wifi but the signal was very bad (bummer!) The shop has lovely postcards, amazing pottery and beautiful hand knit sweaters. Some stuff was marked down, but unfortunately nothing in my size, so I might be heading to their website soon for retail therapy. Would totally recommend stopping in.
