Lots of vendors though they…read moreare mostly prepared foods or drinks, which is how most farmer markets are these days I think. They do have a few stalls with fresh produce and fruits, even some from the big island! We mostly were drawn here to visit veggi dogs and they certainly didn't disappoint! We also were able to get empanadas, lychee, rambutan, bread and some Hawaiian tea! The event is definitely kid friendly and though it was a warm day, there's some shady areas throughout. The market itself is in the parking lot of the community college so you got lots of make shift seating on the ground/curb to enjoy your purchases. Parking was relatively easy too as there is a big lot east of the market. Seemed like plenty of parking available, a rarity in parts of Waikīkī area. Vibes definitely felt like a true farmer market which was a nice change of pace from the ones during the week which didn't really feel like true farmer markets.

Parking is always a challenge at any farmer's market so that's okay. What I enjoyed is the food options for those that were there. I didn't notice to much produce there. There was a one-man operation making Pasta and he was busy. One of the guests had waited one hour for her order but she was fine with that which means his pasta must be amazing.

I suppose it's not really the most exciting farmers market if you're more familiar with the KCC one or ones where there's many prepared foods vendors. There was one prepared food vendor and one extra art vendor so not a whole lot to explore. There's a nearby playground where it's focused for the bigger kids since it's mostly climbing focused. The marketplace where this is located, if you aren't familiar, is filled with many stores that sell food and even have a Safeway grocery store. Love this Manoa Farmers' Market in Manoa Marketplace as I needed a break from errands and thought that a quick drive up Manoa would be it and after a some lunch and visit to Fendu Boulangerie for a breakfast bite tomorrow I noticed some tents in front of the post office area. With what seems to just four vendors two are selling vegetables all are pre priced and packed making it very easy to browse and shop, there was an art seller and lastly was for some flowers at $5 for a small bunch it was just right for the butsudan and I just loved the lavender shade of anthurium. No veggies for me today though there were some that I wanted but had more errands to run but know that they're here and is a quick and easy place to find some fresh produce and veggies along with supporting local. Thank you!

Tucked away right behind Mud Hen Water in Kaimuki, their entrance is small and kind of easy to miss. There are a few parking spots in front & a small door leading to some amazing fish. I believe you can walk in and buy fish/seafood by the pound, but I actually have a subscription where I pay X amount per month & get a "fair share" of fish per every 2 weeks. You can play around with the portion sizes and frequency too. I think currently I receive 1-1.5 lb of fish per share of whatever the catch of the week is. I absolutely love the fish I receive from Ashley. You know it's fresh, it's sustainable and proceeds go directly to local fisherman. Over the past few months, I have received so many different types of fish. Some common fish I see are sashimi grade mahi mahi, ono, and ahi. Sometimes the fishermen will bring in invasive species & I always try to grab those. I've picked up whole kanpachi and whole opakapaka. It's always a fun challenge to try and clean & break down a whole fish lol. I think the craziest thing I picked up from Ashley was mahimahi head & bones. It was actually offered for free, I ended up making mahi dashi and then picked off of the meat for lunch. On Saturday I picked up some sashimi grade striped marlin & a whole octopus. I made a marlin carpaccio and grilled octopus for dinner :) I just love how Ashley and the team make it easy for us to be more connected with our local food source. Although it's a tad more expensive than buying fish at a convenience store, it is nice to know that all the fish is coming from our local fishermen from our shores.

Just turn into the parking lot and their entrance is at the end of it. Love their sashimi grade ahi. They have some good ahi Jerky, fish gumbo, etc. They even sell doggy treats. Best to call to see what fish they have as they do sell out from time to time. They are open Thursday - Sunday 10am-2pm.

Okay, I've only been here technically once, but I have to say:…read more The first time I went here and got Thai food. The pumpkin curry bowl with sticky rice and the pork skewers are AMAZING. The second time, my boyfriend got produce from vendors bring home ingredients to make pico de gallo, and it was so fresh that a quart and a half disappeared in two days. BUT the main reason I'm writing this is for the gentleman that makes one of the TOP THREE pastas I've had IN HAWAII. First is probably Uni pasta (or something else pasta) from Arancino Kahala. Second is La Cucina. Third, but coming up very close is this random never would have suspected it farmer's market pasta. Carbonara and Amatriciana. Just get those. It's gonna take 30 minutes, even if you get there early. It's one guy making pasta from scratch, fresh, with noodles and sauces that he made from scratch. Just put your order in, go buy your veggies and bread, wander around to look at booths, then come back. My boyfriend hates waiting in line but he said he would wait an hour for this. We left some of it out and ate it five hours later and it was STILL delicious, even all cold. Even the best restaurant stuff you save isn't THIS good later on. I don't like that I spilled this secret spot, but I really hope he opens his own restaurant one day, if he wants to. I would eat his pasta and bread every day and enjoy every pound that I put on!
