It's a tiny place and the food is decent. There's only about eight seats inside if you're planning to eat here. I ordered the burger which was pretty good. They do a lot of takeaway business, which seems to be their priority. When you're inside you can watch the kitchen and get an idea of what they're making and they were turning out lots of takeaway orders before getting to people that were seated. This in combination with it being a small place means they're going to be slow (this may have also been because there seemed to be some training going on with the cook), so if you have someplace to be don't expect this to be quick. One other suggestion I have would be to have a place to hang coats and things outside in their covered area. When we were there it was pouring rain and their lot was flooded. Everyone eating inside had coats and gear that was fighting for space in the tiny trailer. The waitress asked us if we could put our stuff outside, but didn't have any suggestions on where to put it. If I ever go back to Stewart Island it wouldn't keep me from going back. read more
