Local breakfast! Would recommend!
Bojan M.

Its one of those places you just want to return to. Great service and really amazing breakfast menu with a lot of local dishes. It has free wifi and a lovely garden in the back as well as a cute table just in front of it. It seems like a place where travellers meet but also a lot of locals are in. Would definitely recommend for a brunch when you in Istanbul!

We had our best Turskish breakfast here, in the lovely garden of Kahve 6. So first, the place itself is charming, whether inside or outside in the garden (including a cute little fountain). It seems people are aware that this place is great so try to go a bit early or a bit late during the week ends or be prepared to wait a little, it is absolutely worthwhile. The food was really delicious. We had a traditional breakfast including simit (sesame bread), some cheese, olives, salads etc. To this already generous portion, we had a wonderful melted cheese: i was so surprised that it was so tasty. I had to share but i could have eaten it all. We also had menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs) with salami and pepperoni which were very well prepared and again very tasty - i think the best menemen we had in one week. So to sum up: delicious typical food and lovely surroundings. Only negative side is that it is a bit pricey, not excessive at all but do not expect a cheap breakfast. in Cihangir neighborhood, for this quality, i do not think you can find cheaper though.

Loved it - great graphics and great food! Also very friendly service! Come check it out!

When I was in Istanbul last month we trekked over here from our hostel for a much deserved late morning brunch! We were new to the city and took a very meandering and hilly route before finally arriving at Kahve6 - which came highly recommended from a trustworthy foodie friend - we were not disappointed! The wait staff was very friendly and once a table in the backyard/courtyard opened up we were seated outside. What a charming setup - they have a little fountain outside - and we were seated under a shady trellis. The food portions were large and delicious! The traditional Turkish breakfast with all its sides and sauces looked amazing! Highly recommend. Very unique spot.

So awesome. Gorgeous, relaxing little patio in the back. Delicious vegetarian and vegan options. We came here frequently during our week stay in the neighborhood. Free wifi, comfortable seats and couches, and the water fountain gives nice background noise. Wish this was in my neighborhood at home!

Very nice atmosphere

Very nice atmosphere with amazing warm terrace at the back of the cafe, menu on English, great fresh food and drinks! 5+ for breakfast spot! Thank you

Traditional Turkish breakfast spread. Unspeakably delicious.

Exceptional in every way--Kahve 6 is simply charming. The food is excellent. We enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast spread and a skillet of menemen. Both were outstanding and Khave 6 uses local, organic ingredients where possible. This commitment to quality is evident in both ingredients and preparation. We washed all of this down with tea and Turkish coffee. The coffee in particular was an outstanding example of traditional Turkish coffee. What's more the indoor and outdoor seating are charming to a fault. But this is evidently organic and not a function of trying too hard. The effect is irresistible. Service was good and prices are very reasonable particularly in view of the quality of the fare. Run don't walk to Khave 6.

The aroma is nice when it is being roasted. The shop is small. It has two windows. It's like a drive-thru lol but you walk, no cars. You order in one window and get the coffee in a paper bag at the other window. They do not speak English here or try. Communication is easy because they only sell one type of coffee at the window and have two sizes. I did well with pointing. It is a place you want to know what you want before getting to the window. They have little patience and long lines. They run like robots here. It is crazy fast how work. Have payment on hand. The shop in near the spice market. The coffee here is well known. I bought some to take home. A week later the coffee smells just like it did when I first bought it. I intended to buy coffee so I packed zip bags for it. This place was AMAZING…read more After a very long chill and drink sesh at another establishment in the area, bae and I were hungry and tryna chow down on some turkish grub. This place was in the vicinity and decent according to trip advisor AND open late. The restaurant is gigantic. I'm not an expert on average restaurant sizes in Turkey but this is one of the biggest restaurants I've ever seen. It has like 5 levels and is decorated impeccably. Impeccable as a synonym for weird. We were kindly seated in this, I'm not joking, like library on the roof. I literally took panoramic snapchats with the caption "this is literally where we are eating dinner". We sat on the couch in the library and the food was placed on a coffee-table like structure in front of us. We went with hookah of course, because 6 hours of hookah prior to our arrival was clearly inadequate. The staff were impressively attentive to our coals and came to check up on them every 30 min or so. If you know us, it won't be surprising that we literally ordered the entire menu. We got boreka-like spinach and cheese SPRING ROLLS (wtf?), spinach and cheese pastry thing, hummus (OBVIOUSLY), zucchini fritters, meat-ravioli in a cream sauce, and pita bread (OBVIOUSLY). Everything was absolutely spectacular. We ate way more food than is probably recommended for health/safety reasons but it was worth it. The staff was absolutely incredible with how much attention they gave us. Because we were off in a colony on mars practically, we had no idea that the restaurant had pretty much closed down in the floors below. This abruptly came to my attention when I drunkenly attempted to search for the bathroom. Our waiter additionally went out of his way to flag our cab down on our way out. Amazing hospitality in this place. Anyways, this was honestly one of my best experiences in a restaurant to date. Highly recommend.

When I arrived there was only one other customer inside. The restaurant decor was cute and I very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This spot was a bit pricey just like most of the restaurants in this touristy area. I had certain Turkish entrees i wanted to try during my vacation. I ordered the Iskender kebab which is beef and pita bread covered with tomato sauce with yogurt on the side. I ordered a side salad to go with it. The dish was very delicious as you can tell in one of my pics. I chatted with some of the staff about life in Istanbul. I was offered some complimentary pomegranate tea before I left and it hit the spot. This is definitely a place to check out when you're in the area.

I came here in the winter so we sat indoors which felt a bit cramped however, there is also outdoor seating during the nicer weather months. If I'm ever back here in Istanbul, I would definitely come back. And if you're reading this, you NEED to try the Old Ottoman!
