I felt the taste as ok, nothing outstanding or something that I'd wanna come back for. That applies for their signature dish "the red bowl" that was recommended by the waitress. Any açaí bowl In the US tastes far better. The soup was also just ok. So overall not a place I'd come back for unless I am close by.

Also, bonus -- you can pay at the register once you're done instead of waiting around forever for your check. If you are a tourist spending the whole day sightseeing, this really comes in handy. A lot of places in Schoneberg require a reservation for Sunday brunch. This place is more of a cafe and is therefore more casual, but we were not wanting for anything after eating here. The traditional German cheese plate came with *plenty* of food, enough for two people really. The pastries were all great and clearly homemade, and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast for 4 (and we ordered quite a bit) was about 50 euros. That included multiple coffees, drinks, and pastries on top of the meals we ordered. We were stuffed until dinner, and so thrilled to find this spot we went again 2 days later. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for Kaffilein!

I like that it looks like they put a lot of effort into creating a unique menu and take their time to prepare the breakfast. It's very different from the fast-paced USA but I like that it feels really fresh. Wanted to go here the next day for brunch but decided that we should try to explore more of Berlin. But wouldn't have had a problem doing so. Check this place out!

The problem is not only that they don't have gluten free bread as a replacement option, they just don't care. I ordered a bowl of eggs with avocado, tomatoes, and some greens. Typically it comes with bread, butter, and chutney. I ordered additional prosciutto. I asked to leave out the bread, but they still served me the butter and chutney. It was weird. I actually asked them to take the butter and chutney back, to avoid wastage, but they left the chutney behind. So I ate boiled eggs with chutney and some greens. It was definitely not a "meal" and I will never go there again because for ~8€ in Neukölln, you can certainly get a proper gluten free breakfast elsewhere!
