Located on a quiet street two blocks from the Mariatorget park, this quaint cafe offers up an excellent house brew and an assortment of pastries. That cup of coffee was dark and just bitter enough, while the cardamom bun was sweet, sticky, and spicy.

The waffle was perfectly crispy and the jam was delicious, but it wasn't a particularly filling for the price, really just a treat. They had fancier offerings as well, for a bit more money, as well as savory combinations. I overheard from a neighboring table that you can order a waffle with both whipped cream and ice cream. Where was this information when I was ordering? Oh well, next time. I would visit Älskade Traditioner again, but perhaps only for dessert. Lots of locals starting their morning here, some working remotely, some just reading, and others catching up with friends. The people who work here are the absolute nicest people. Coffee is delicious. They have fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings, as well as some green juice and ginger shots which will get you going. There's nothing more satisfying than starting your morning sipping on a latte while nibbling on a cardamom or cinnamon bun. Swedish coffee culture is absolutely elite, and is what I'll miss most now that I'm back in the states. Can't wait to go back to Stockholm and drop by Lilla Caféet på Söder again!
