Even prior to booking the rental and working through a previous cancellation due to the pandemic last year, Tanya assisted very quickly to every question and concern. Property wasn't available for check in until 6 PM which created an inconvenience for my family after a long travel day. Although additional cleaning time was required, I was hoping they would've called for more help prior to the late hour. The townhouse is very nice, spacious and modern. There are 2 flights of high stairs, so beware if there are issues with climbing them. First floor bedroom is advertised as a Queen, it's a full size bed. Main level is excellent for entertaining due to the open floor plan, large kitchen and counter space. My only major complaint is the condition of the white leather sofa, it's badly stained and needs to be replaced. We had to cover it with Beach towels in order to sit on it. The walls along both sets of stairs are in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. There are some minor things (communicated directly) that need to be fixed, repaired or updated. Pulling in to park my heart sank. The pool is 10 steps from the main road. My ideas of relaxing by the pool vanished. We talked to Mark on the drive over and he said the office would be closed when we arrived at 7 but our room would be unlocked and the key inside. I thought that seemed like a security issue but figured they must have done this before. There are security cameras there. Arriving after a 4 hour drive we found our room surprisingly locked. We called on the exterior office phone and were told 10 minutes someone will let you in. After waiting 30 minutes on the darkened patio an older woman wobbled over to us and barked '102!!!??!' She was assisted by a younger woman luckily, because she seemed , ahem, impaired. She was babbling on about air freshener in the office when all we wanted was to get in our room. The price of our room did not reflect the king luxury room I was hoping for. It was very clean and semi updated but furnished with what seemed like mismatchy thrift store finds. I loved the 1950s tile in the bath but not the older towels. The bed was reasonably comfortable but there was so much road noise it made sleeping difficult. The kitchenette was very cute but not necessary on our trip. Some reviews I read complain about the noise of the wall air conditioning. I was happy it was cold and was masking some of the road noise. Except for the Harleys and giant trucks passing by. That being said, the manager Mark was very sweet. He offered us a restaurant gift card for our trouble on check in. If you can get a good rate on your room and don't mind no frills, this place is very conveniently located. Walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

Everything is quite old but well kept for the most part. Things that aren't perfect are broken bugs nets, broken bath stopper, windows not staying open. The kitchen is super small and there is no dishwasher. Also some units are right by A1A which has heavy traffic, so make sure to take hear plugs. You may ask: why 4 stars. Well 2 reasons: the price and location. Price are low for the area, you are a block away from the beach, plenty of bars and restaurants, but also Publix. I removed one star because the WiFi isn't working. There is WiFi connection but the internet connection is either super slow or not working depending on the time of the day. This is unacceptable in 2024.

We did not have an opportunity to share the other problems that arose because we never heard from the host when contacting them about the ant infestation inside the front doorframe that was threatening to enter the home and cause a problem. The number was called on Thanksgiving however, the issue was egregious enough to need immediate attention. We contacted the emergency number given. It is now day 4, check out is in a few hours and we still have not heard from Saray, the point of emergency contact. Second problem is the showers did not drain properly in both bathrooms therefore, we were in standing water while showering. We had to turn the shower off to keep water from overflowing. The third problem is towels were provided but no face cloths or hand towels. Fourth problem is two of the three bedrooms had no bar to hang clothes in the closet; we traveled with coats and were not able to hang them. The fifth problem is the keypad to the front door stop working and remained unlocked unless someone on the inside locks/unlocks it. We checked out of the property not being able to lock it. We called upon check-out to inform the host, still no answer. Lastly, we had to request our $400 deposit which was promised to be returned in 24 hours, and it was not. We were told a lounge chair was broken, so they deducted $50. It rained in Florida during the Thanksgiving holiday. We never went outside to use the furniture.
