This emporium feels like a slice of Tokyo, offering a massive selection of authentic groceries, specialty ingredients, and even unique kitchenware and stationery that you won't find in a standard supermarket. The variety of ready-to-eat options is impressive--from fresh sushi and bento boxes to delicious matcha croissants and mochi doughnuts. It's a great spot to grab a quick, lunch or pick up high-quality snacks and pantry staples. Whether you're there to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and frequent cultural events, it's a fantastic experience in the heart of Leicester Square!

They have a great…read morerange of items and often have multiple brands of each item like matcha, noodles and seaweed. I'm not personally into sweet things but they have a great range of sweets and pocky sticks. They sell kitchenware items like chopsticks, cooking utensils and bamboo whisks. They also have cute little stationary that isn't expensive and will make great stocking stuffers closer to Christmas. We tried a couple of bakery items, including a matcha croissant and a mochi doughnut which I've always wanted to try. The doughnut was nice and lighter than a regular one. The croissant was flaky and really nice but the matcha-white chocolate type topping was too sweet for me personally. I'll definitely be back for more bamboo shoots and fermented foods!

The store its-self is quite large, much larger than most LittleWaitrose stores I've seen in the past, including ones local to my home such as Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Spinningfields, this store is in a way similar to a foreign style supermarket in terms of size, bigger than a convenience store, but smaller than an average supermarket. The stock range was OK - range of most item was small such as gluten-free and ready to eat food, perhaps this was because of the time of night I visited or the fact they are trying to offer a small amount of more things, such as having a selection of sandwiches and a selection of other snacks rather than a larger selection of sandwiches. They even had a sushi bar in the store, and with all due respect, I honestly don't know if it is needed in a store of its' size and the nature of the store. They also didn't sell Coca-Cola Zero, which I wanted to buy as I had a voucher which expires soon. The staff didn't seem as friendly as other Waitrose stores, they were just okay. Satisfactory store in a decent location to warrant a two-star rating.

Things like octopus salad and Sardinian fregola salad (the owners are Sardinian) are available. They also have huge chicken Milanese, chargrilled salmon and flattened chargrilled turkey breast oh and don't forget the broccoli, cooked from raw with garlic and a bit of chilli. All of these things sell out very quickly so get there early before the lunch queue starts at 12! The bread for the sandwiches which are made to order in front of you comes from Sally Clarke bakery so you know the quality will be good. Great coffee too and an amazing selection of biscuits, wine, pasta, a truly exciting italian/Sardinian shopping experience by owners who have had three restaurants in the area for many years so seem to know what their customers want.

There is a Little Waitrose & Tesco Express- both would be considered more of convenient store markets. But, this Sainsbury's location is what you'd actually call a real grocery store. AND I LOVED IT!! This location is brightly lit with the 24 Bus stop right in front. A very good size. As you enter- there's a cash machine (ATM) to the left and the hot food department to the right. This is where you can buy the baked chickens and even create your own pizzas!! This section is also where you'll find the Grab & Go meals. Grab & Go is very popular here in London. You can pick from varieties of chips/ juices, waters, sodas/ and sandwiches or pasties (empanadas). As you continue walking into the store- the magazine section to the left. Self check out tills to the right and beyond that- regular cash registers. Either way, if you're paying with a U.S. card with a chip- you'll most likely need an employee to print out the the receipt for you to sign. Continue walking and you'll have the fresh produce section. Then past this- the freezer & refrigerated aisles. We stopped by these aisles tons of times! We took advantage of their microwaveable meals. I was a big fan of the Steak & Mash combo. The meat chunks were very tender, the stew was tasty and thick. The Mash was creamy & buttery. Another microwaveable meal I enjoyed was the spaghetti carbonara!! Did not disappoint!! We bought slices of cold cuts, Baby Bel cheese wheels, & chive crackers for snacky snacks. There's a huge selection of wines, beers, & hard liquors. Heck, we even bought Modelo! Everyday besides Sunday (closes 5pm) this Pimlico location closes at 11pm. Staff is really nice and I think there's underground parking....

It's small business supporting small business and I love it. You will most probably see Ben when you're in there and he's worth going to see for a 'how's it going'. You can also get coffee, bready snacks and, as he describes it, treats. The take away 'hard treats' such as the gins and wines are my favourite, but to be honest everything on that shelf is great. I would quite happily stock up my cupboard with the pickles, hot sauce, cordial, breads etc etc. He also has an excellent magazine range. AND he puts on supper club style events which shouldn't be missed. Small, intimate, delicious. Think there is a small room out the back hireable for small meetings. I definitely learnt a thing or two about all the amazing gins, honey and other bits on offer. He has a real passion for everything sold in his 'house' and it's incredibly refreshing to visit somewhere so welcoming and fun. If any of you are lucky enough to have a pooch in your life, too, they're also welcome! Added bonus... not sure this place could get any better, really. But I'm sure Ben will find a way! I can't wait to go back!
