He was extremely knowledgeable and kept it straight with me. I was in and out and the visit did not feel like how I usually feel when I visit any sort of doctor's office. This time was pleasant. This location is located in Evans, Ga. It is separate from the main hospital in Augusta, but what I gathered, this location is where the the doctors split time to come at least once a week away from the hospital to see patients. The office is clean, neat, and has a large selection of stylist glasses for shopping. After placing my glasses order, however the customer service dissipated. My glasses were late. The time required for production was predicted at a week and a half. It has been over two weeks and the order still reflects as "in process." When I call the office, I am either placed on an indefinite hold exceeding 15 minutes and no one returns to the call. Or, I am sent directly to voicemail and the call is not returned. If the only means to receive a status update is to physically visit the office, this is unacceptable.

I was asked this by the other 2 people working there while I was there (I was there for over an hour because it takes me a long time to decide on frames). After picking out my frames I did get my lenses and price for them, a bit expensive due to them not accepting my EyeMed insurance, which was an error on my part reading the wrong location online. That is the only negative aspect of this was them not accepting my eye insurance. They seem to work with everyone, insurance or not, to get a better price than the base price. I was there long enough to see and hear interactions with other customers and I wasn't the only one who was waited on quickly and helped throughout their process. I picked up my glasses a few day's earlier than anticipated, Sally who assisted me did say it would be less than two weeks. She was great by the way! I was assisted immediately walking in even though he was already helping other people and another person walked in also behind me and was greeted just as nicely. This employee seemed to be the only one there at the time but still was helpful and very nice. My glasses fit great which is such a relief after a couple of years of glasses being such a mess. In between having my eyes dilated and the actual exam I was asked to sit in the reception area for 30 minutes which ended up being well over an hour and a half. I honestly believe she left the facility and came back because there were no other eye patients there . I spent the entire day waiting at this office. She offered no apology and was not knowledgeable about the results and was sarcastic at one point . She gave very little info about my exam . I will never return to this facility and I have no confidence in her ability as a healthcare professional. Go to The Eye Guys for professional help with your eyes. They are actual medical doctors and the wait time is better. My visit to specs was a complete waste of time and money .
