Amy and Matt are true professionals. My husband and I wanted to capture all of the moments of our…read morewedding day, and they came through in spades. Every shot is Pinterest-worthy. If you want photos your friends will be jealous of, but aren't sure how to achieve that, hire Coppersmith. You're not just buying someone who knows how to hold a camera and edit photos, you're buying their minds and ideas. While we knew what style of photography we wanted, we had no idea how to achieve them. My husband's one request was a photo of the bridal party that looked liked a "cast shot" from a TV show. They ran with the idea, found a gorgeous background, posed the 14 person party, and captured a great moment. Throughout the whole day, they were always thinking of creative angles and set ups to capture every moment. After the ceremony (we did the photos before), they proactively found scenes to photograph, truly working for the full 8 hours we had hired them. The benefits did not end with the night however. More than a thousand photographs (without the annoying watermarks) were edited and uploaded to our personal website (with an app) before we were even home from our honeymoon. Given that our friends and families are spread throughout the country and world, it was so easy to share the photos by just sending them the link. We didn't have to worry about finding a website to host hundreds of GBs of data and then upload from a CD or flash drive. They did that all for us!

My family and I recently had our family portrait taken with Joanna at her studio and had a…read morewonderful experience and beautiful photos we'll cherish forever. Joanna's a fantastic photographer! She's professional, has an eye for detail, listens to you, easy going, and fun to work with. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful photos and a great photoshoot experience and here's why. Prior to the day of our photoshoot, Joanna walked us through details to help us understand what to expect, while listening to our ideas of what we were hoping to capture from the photoshoot as well. She helped us design our coordinating outfits, (as I didn't realize so much goes into that!), and we discussed the "day of" expectations. It was helpful for me, as I am a detail person, and wanted to be absolutely prepared for my husband, young son, and I. On the day of our photoshoot, we were excited, and I have to admit I was a bit nervous, but the moment we stepped foot in Joanna's studio we really felt like stars. Joanna put lovely details into her studio and it makes you feel comfortable and glamorous at the same time. I honestly believe that speaks to Joanna as a photographer as well. She helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera so we could have real smiles and just be ourselves. I feel she actually captured us being us in that moment, but in a studio with lights and a camera. We had so much fun! When the shoot was over, we actually wished we could do more, but will have to save those ideas for a future family photo with Joanna.

She knew just how to handle a little one with a short attention span, keeping things cheerful and adjusting the pace as needed to keep everyone happy. We used the photos on our Christmas cards and our friends and family have been ooohing and aaahing over the pictures, too!

Planning a long distance wedding is never easy, but checking in with the girls was always fun and easy. There was not one interaction with them where we did not end up laughing for some reason, including on our wedding day! I appreciated their planning beforehand with a questionnaire outlining all the details and information of the day (that helped me get organized myself!) along with their constant professionalism. For two incredibly awkward photo people (my husband and I), Vanessa's infectuous laugh and upbeat personality combined with Sharri's calming and collected demeanor, were able to bring out the best photos of both of us. Our photos are amazing, there are so many great ones that it's hard to pick which ones to frame!
