Back when I was working in Waltham, I kept tabs on More Than Words since they had a location there…read moreand I was interested in getting involved. They have such an amazing mission, and I highly recommend people look into this nonprofit to learn more on how to support! This review is for their Boston store--an open, spacious thrift and book store. They have a great selection, from affordable everyday pieces to higher-end clothing (for both women and men), plus old-timey knickknacks, home goods, shoes, costume jewelry, toys, and new packaged gifts. There's so much to rummage through, and it doesn't have that musty thrift store feel--it's very well kept. We bought a bunch of things: glass cake display I had as a kid (that doubles as a fruit trifle dish), an abstract dress that was basically new (originally over $200, I snagged for $40), a metal dragon bracelet, and more. The staff is fun--they seem like friends with each other, and a few even made me feel like we were becoming friends too, loll. It's a very cool atmosphere and well staffed. If no one's at the register, there's a bell you can ring and they'll be right there. I love this place--it is one of my highlights of the South End area!

Wanted to add another shed so we thought we would check out Post Woodworking…read more We had a good idea what we wanted and went there to talk to them. They ask you what you are looking for and started a design so you can see what the shed will look like. I know I wanted a big shed,14X22 and a ton of big insulated windows as I wanted to winterize it. At the end of the design we had a shed that we were VERY happy with. We ordered it and it ONLY took approx 3 weeks to be delivered! They brought it out to the house on a trailer. It was partially assembled and took no time to build...It was exactly what I asked for and VERY HI QUALITY. These people are 100% professional emailing us all along the way. We even wanted a specific size window and found some at Cyr Lumber. The salesman at Post Woodworking went a looked at them to let us know if they would work, and then we bought them and had delivered to Post. We shopped at two places, one in Methuen Mass and also at Reeds Ferry in Hudson NH and noticed the quality of the build and materials used were not as good as Post Woodworking! We could not be happier.

After multiple meetings with Reeds Ferry (whom were only a mere 3 miles down the road) we knew it would be an arduous company to work with, overpriced and lacking the quality we we were looking for. It took one meeting with Karen in their office to realize the passion and ability to be able to put a 'square peg, in a round hole'. We had a lot of special asks, all we heard was; "yes, we can do that".... Easy to do business with and would do business with again!
