The K Kenn Campsite was very easy to find, as you can see it from the highway. It's typically used for RVs, as it has full hookups (water, sewer, electrical), but you can camp there with a tent like we did. The traffic along the highway can be quite loud at all hours, with trucks jake braking in the middle of the night, so bring ear plugs. There are 3 lockable bathrooms you can access, with a toilet, sink, and coin operated showers. The showers are finicky about accepting loonies, so you need to thump them repeatedly until it works. Unfortunately, the water in the shower was lukewarm at best, and the loonie only gets you about 5 minutes. There's coin operated laundry on site as well, but we didn't use it and so can't speak to its value. The campsites were clean, but the garbage cans hadn't been emptied in a while.
As people camping in a tent, NOT AN RV, we're giving this place 2 stars because of the traffic noise and the cold showers. If you own an RV that has soundproof walls and a hot shower, this is the spot for you. read more
