Photographer was very eager to earn my business but during the event, my sons baptism, she was flustered and in the days following the event she was very defensive when we followed up wondering when we should expect our photos. During the event, she kept having to switch cameras and lenses saying that she couldn't get the lighting right. After the Baptism she also mentioned it was her first time shooting a baptism! She never mentioned this to me before in our previous conversations. This was probably why she was having trouble with the lighting in the church. I was getting nervous because she wasn't providing us any direction during the family photos after the service. She wasn't providing me or my family direction on how to stand or when to smile, etc. Then when we would get in a pose she'd have to switch cameras. We were fine with this but it seemed to be getting her all bent out of shape and then she wasn't focused on giving us direction. She reassured me once she was finished that she got some good ones and shot over 335 photos! Subsequently, in the days following the event she did not correspond. I followed up with her and she said the photos would be available but it took almost a week for her to upload 70 photos. There were a few nice ones during the service but aside from that all the other photos were ruined because no one was in sync with looking at the camera. Probably because we got no direction from her. Then, part of her contract was 40 "edited" photos. They were not edited as far as my expectation. Maybe slightly cropped with a filter, nothing I couldn't do on my own iPhone app. All in all, she may be good in her own studio but she definitely did not capture our event as we expected based off of the experience she advertises. We have none of our own candid photos from this very special day and relied totally on her services, in which we provided payment for promptly the day of the event. Our first sons Baptism will only happen once in a lifetime and although the photos aren't terrible, we were expecting a higher caliber based off of the resume she boasts. Also, there's a lack of professionalism and organization in her communication, follow-up and description of services. We will will not be using this photographer in the future. read more
