I contacted KIU with a tall order. It was a custom job where certain parts of the apartment - kitchen, bathroom and laundry room needed to be thoroughly cleaned. The job also had to be completed with a very short turnaround time. Within 12 hours, I had KIU staff at the apartment and they got right to work. Gina (the owner) gave me an estimate of the quote online and was very good with her communication. Since I was not available at the apartment, Gina kept updating me through text and email. She even took before and after pictures for my reference. Some of which I will post here later. The price was very reasonable and her staff did a fantastic job of cleaning. Do not expect this company to show up on time or honor the services you paid for. Do expect them to break your items and not mention it to you, leaving before you find out. We requested and paid for a move out cleaning, but due to an error on their end, they failed to note this request type. After showing up an hour late to the appointment time, we were informed their website was in error, and even though we had filled it out correctly and paid what they billed us for, we were not going to receive the service agreed upon. We even offered to pay for the difference, since it was a system error, but was refused that option. We were extremely dissatisfied in the service rendered, and even more upset when discovering our glass microwave plate was broken without any sort of a heads up. We will now have to pay our landlord for this. All in all, a very disappointing experience. Will never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Prior to last year, I had worked with this company a handful of times for one-off housekeeping services. The service wasn't perfect, but the staff was nice and generally happy to come back to correct any issues. At the time it was the best cleaning service I had been able to find in town (honestly still looking for a great one). Last year, I contacted them again interested in setting up a recurring housekeeping appointment. They stated that their new policy was to charge a larger initial cleaning fee (commensurate with the size of the home), to make sure the property was 'up to their standard', and in exchange the future/subsequent cleanings would be charged at a discounted rate. I agreed to this because I had been happy with their services in the past, and intended to use them for some time going forward. However what actually occurred is that they took my ~$500, and then apparently shut their doors never to be seen again. I tried repeatedly calling, reaching out to them via their site, and sending email, and could never reach anyone. My bank was unwilling to do a chargeback since I did receive services, however I feel very much taken advantage of and lied to. I feel like the change in 'policy' was simply a cash grab when they knew that they were soon to be closing their doors. Right now Google still lists the company as active, including business hours, a phone number, and a semi-functional website. But the phone number doesn't work and the website is not accepting bookings. It's unclear what the status of the company truly is, or where the man claiming ownership, David Morris Jr, has run off to. However, in case someone were actually able to reach him or KIU, please be cautious! He is unprofessional and non-responsive, and at the end of the day not trustworthy. read more

KIU cleaned my son's college apartment when he was moving out and we couldn't be more pleased with their services. Setting up the appointment was easy on the phone with a few days notice. The cleaning crew did a thorough job including all appliances, floors, windows, cabinets and bathrooms. The fee we paid for this service was reasonable and the building manager commented that "this is by far the cleanest apartment we've seen during move-out." I hired KIU Cleaning to clean my freshman son's on campus apartment. He and his roommate were clearly not ready for the responsibilities of living in an apartment their freshmen year and let things get out of control. They were overwhelmed and didn't even know where to start. KIU came to the rescue, they showed up on time and ready to work. Within a matter of a couple of hours they whipped the apartment and the boys back into shape. I have retained their services through the end of the first semester in hopes to get the boys on a good path and self sufficient soon. Charge extra 75 dollars after several days without notifying me. Only arrange one worker for cleaning. And the additional hour exceeding 2 hours requires more money. The worker did not bring any professional tool and only cleans the floor and wall. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. read more

My roommates and I had the unfortunate experience of moving into a house that the previous tenants abandoned without cleaning. The staff at Kleenin It Up came in and did an incredible job on the house. They were extremely detail oriented, right down to even soaking the oven nobs in bleach. It took them nearly all day to finish and they didn't cut any corners. They were professional and did a great job, cleaning the entire apartment, including the refrigerator, oven, etc. I called them last minute before my move, and they visited for estimate that day. Because of my busy schedule, there was only one day that I had available for them to clean, and they fit it in their schedule.
