The 3 gentlemen that 1st showed up were extremely polite and even asked to move our vehicles so no damage might come to them from falling branches. They made a plan and decided which trees were going to be pruned and which trees needed to be cut down. This was no easy task. The trees are all over 50 ft tall. A&W came with a utility truck that had a bucket so they could reach the limbs of trees without damaging them or make a huge mess. One guy cut down the trees the other two dragged the branches and put it in the grinder.i was impressed to see that they used ropes 1st and tied off the tree branches so when they were being cut they wouldn't just fall to the ground. The ropes allowed the branches to come down slowly.. The 3 men worked in unison and spent over 6 hours trimming and cutting down my trees. One of my taller trees was surrounded by electrical wires. 1 worker strapped on safety equipment and climbed with only ropes up 75 ft. To trim broken and hanging huge tree branches. They raked and cleaned up all debris. They were checked on by a supervisor and did a great job.The group of men only took 1 short lunch break. Everyone was super friendly, responsive, and professional. My husband described the crew as working as if they were working on their own yard because they were taking such care. We will be using this service now on an ongoing basis, for weekly mowing, seasonal clean-up, pruning, etc., and for whatever else comes up! We live on a decent size lot, an acre, and the yard and beds, shrubs, etc., had not been maintained for a long time, prior owner made some bad selections, etc. So, this was a big job. Removed 10 ENORMOUS shrubs, installed dozens of new plants/trees, huge spring clean up, installed 21 cubic yards of mulch, weed preventative, created overall landscape design, relocated some existing shrubs, used existing field stones to create perimeter for beds.
