I recently visited the K-Citymarket inside of Jumbo mall. This place is gigantic! They have everything from bbq grills to clothing, makeup to books, school supplies to groceries.
They have an absolutely massive amount of food at this store, and I say this as an American where Costco and Walmart are ubiquitous.
They have a giant section for just Tex-Mex foods which I was surprised to see. I ended up getting quite a few sauces and tortilla chips to use during the week. (Mexican and Tex-Mex foods are many Americans comfort food when abroad.)
There is a super cute candy section and I was pleased to find my favorite gluten-free candy brands from Spain available here. There are also bulk candies and of course more choices for liquorice than one could ever need.
As a celiac, I liked that many products' price tag had a gluten-free (and dairy free or vegan) tag hanging off the side so they were easily spotted. This was not consistent across the board, many products that were listed as gluten-free on their actual packaging didn't have the label hanging off of the price tag, but I was happy to see that there were so many choices.
There were quite a few gluten-free options, including an entire refrigerator filled with gluten-free pastries and cakes.
Even though I don't speak a word of Finnish, buying produce that needed to be weighed and labeled before checking out was intuitive and easy to do.
Staff spoke to us in Finnish but when we just smiled and nodded, they switched to English.
Unfortunately in Finland, you can't sign up for a loyalty card without a Finnish address (and they're also connected to people's bank accounts so people can't share their card???) so our grocery bill was quite a bit higher than anticipated because none of the sale prices applied to our bill which was the one drawback.
Parking is ample as it is next to the gigantic parking garage at the mall.
