I think this is the first time that I've ever seen a full grocery store in the airport! Granted, it's not a complete grocery store- they don't have the deepest selection of things, but they do have everything that a regular supermarket would have. Who would need to buy paper towels at the airport? They have an impressive frozen food section, considering it's at the airport. I was pleased that the prices here are quite reasonable, and they do sell pre-made food and cold beverages that certainly beat going to the restaurants inside the airport. They had a variety of sandwiches, wraps and canned sodas. However, you can't take many of the things with you through security. I guess the more mundane items are for the people who are arriving, and not departing?
The service was friendly, and they run a good market with clean aisles, and a good selection of things that travelers need, such as candy, snacks and toiletries. They seem to skew the inventory towards dry goods.
I don't know who thought up the idea to put a grocery store at the airport, but I think it's a great idea! read more
