That means for 5 days I can not use $60 of my money because they have a hold on my account. Do they not know or more than likely don't care that this will cause a financial hardship to people? So if you have $100 in the bank and put in $15 worth of gas you figure you have $85 left to spend right? WRONG not here, that $60 hold wild drop you to only $25 that you will be able to spend for the next 5 days until the hold comes off. This practice needs to be abolished ASAP!! My banker told me the best way to avoid this to use your debit card as a credit card at gas stations because they are the worst at doing this. She said usually they won't place a hold on a credit purchases but always do it on debit cards for gas purchases. I quit going to Speedway for this same reason because what they did is what ever amount you put in for gas, they doubled it and that was the amount they put on hold for 5 days. I've been there before but it's been a while so wanted to see if it had changed. Got there a little after noon and they were closed despite the posted hours. On the way over, I had passed the East Lincoln Mini Mart which has a big sign out front, "Best Hot Dogs in Town". Stopped in and their kitchen was down so no Hot Dogs. One more place and that was Jay's in Denver but sign said, closed until 3pm. Ended up with roller Dogs at the Quik Trip Gas Station. Not the best but still not too bad. Repeated the same thing yesterday. City Lunch was closed despite the hours being 5:30am to 5:30pm. East Lincoln Mini Mart had their equipment back online, so I ordered two of them. No place to sit so I took them home since I only live about 10 minutes away. Building is not much to look at, but the Hot Dogs were incredible. The dogs were all beef and had great flavor and texture with a nice snap. Not normally a fan of slaw and I did not tell them "No Slaw". so they came with slaw. Something about North Carolina, everything comes with slaw. Nevertheless, the Hot Dogs even with the Slaw were delicious.
