When I phoned to book this service I informed Dove Cleaning Services that the house was a big job. I informed the representative that it had belonged to my father and that he had been unable to clean for 10+ years due to illness. I provided the details of the home and advised that the walls and ceilings would also need attention along with the carpets. I explained that the home would be pretty much empty, but that my partner and myself are still living here as caretakers, so there would be some items still present. I said, "It's really messy. It's a Big job." he said "that's fine" and I was quoted a price and was told they would be at our home at 8 am.
I will admit that the house is a mess, and that there were still a few items that needed picking up; however, as the owner of the business (Payam Arasta) walked to the front door (an hour early, at 7 am), NOT EVEN STEPPING FOOT INTO THE HOUSE, he said "Oh I'm not cleaning this, it's too dirty."
Yes. It is dirty. This is why we hired a cleaning service, because the job is too big for us to do, and we wanted professionals. We were not expecting perfection, and if they needed more time than what was quoted on the phone - then they could have negotiated that with us and we could have worked it out.
Instead, Dove Cleaning Services walked through the nearly empty, but dirty house, and continued to pass out comments such as "A pig wouldn't live here." Again, yes, it's a dirty place, but I had advised him of this on the phone, and it is why we hired a team of cleaners.
It was very clear to both my partner and me that they had another job that was better paying. They showed up early without contacting us ahead of time, he passed judgment on the job before walking through the door, he did not attempt to ask for more time to get the job done, and he was excessively rude throughout the entire exchange.
I have never met a company so unprofessional in all of my life.
