One example that told me from the beginning he truly cared about the results rather than just "getting the job done": before we even started, he recommended that we try painting a small section in every room and viewing it in varying light for 24 hours before committing go colors. He did this initial painting himself as well, which included visits to multiple paint stores in some cases to find the right colors. He clearly takes pride in his work and was a pleasure to work with - highly recommend Smooth Finish and Clark!

They actually did more than they originally thought they needed to at no extra charge. John was on time for our first appointment and and every appointment after. His son L and his other employee W ( I'm terrible with names) are both professional and efficient. My floors were uneven, my crawl space was a mess it was damp, the insulation was falling and my HVAC ducts kept coming loose and I wanted to encapsulate it. John came and assessed the inside of the house and the crawl space and the good news was it wasn't as bad as I thought and the better news was he could fix what needed done and do the encapsulation I wanted and the duct work and was very affordable! The pictures tell the story...... John Thank You so much for rehabilitating my crawl space and lifting my house! You're the BEST!

If you need crawlspace work.co.pleted, call them! I have 5 estimates and PBS was 1/5th the price of their competitors si.ply because they have zero hidden costs. Our materials were given to us at their discounted cost and only labor was added. You will not find another company that goes out of their way to support their community and is as humble as they are. Most importantly, when calling them, you will not be pressured into anything. They WANT you to get other quotes because we were able to see the facts in black and white. And BTW, there was no comparison because everything from the quality of work, their communication, their prices and their warranties go far beyond what we found with other companies. While under our home, they even took the time to fix a detached duct from our air conditioner, and moved out a trailer load of old blocking that was left by previous owners.

Our experience started when Mr Jenkins came to our home to review the project we were about to embark on, walked us through how they work, provided us with a copy of their prices, left a log-in sheet, and said his project manager would arrive the next day to introduce themselves. When I went to pick out tile, the project manager met me at the tile company. (That is another review.....) There were all kinds of issues with the tile company, and instead of weeks, it took MONTHS for us to receive materials. Jenkins's and Co bird-dogged that for me so I didn't have to. As soon as the materials arrived, they started work and stayed on the job until it was done. Turns out the tile company shorted us on floor tile (tile employee who measured our bath apparently flunked basic math). To compound the situation, the tile was imported from Italy and the only place in the country to MAYBE get more was from Fifth Ave, NY. Jenkins's implored the tile company for options, they gave us the floor sample and finally found one remaining tile stashed in their warehouse (WHEW!!). Even through NUMEROUS issues with the tile supplier, Jenkins and Co worked doggedly to get my project done as quickly, and as excellently as possible, even finding an alternate tile supplier for slab after employee at first place neglected to order the vanity slab. I will GLADLY use Jenkins of Northern Neck again, and HIGHLY recommend them for whatever project you have. If I could give them TEN stars, I would!
