It's always crowded and there may be two or three people on registers. They want you to check your own groceries, but that always turns into a problem where you have to find someone to help you. The customers seem angry and pushy, which is not the store's fault but nonetheless it's an unpleasant experience, I think in part because everyone else is going what I am, looking for things that can't be found or aren't there and you can't find help or you're standing in line somewhere. Lines are long and I can rarely find anyone to help in the aisles. They need more personnel who are better trained and if it's a problem, they need to make it a better work environment so their employees aren't so exhausted and irritable.

She called this Walmart months ahead of a major volunteer event to see if she could order hundreds of prepackaged sandwiches, and how much lead time they needed. She placed the order with the requested lead time, padded by several extra days just to be safe. But shortly before the sandwiches were needed, the order was cancelled without explanation. My wife called and emailed multiple times to find out why, and to try to see if something could be worked out. She got no response of any kind, ever. There is no imaginable excuse good enough to justify what happened. Shandy Hayden yanked the rug out from under us, and if she doesn't deserve to be fired, I don't know who would.

So much more merchandise, full-on groceries, produce and meat, etc. The inventory in all areas (in addition to newly added sections) has grown considerably with many new items and updated display fixtures throughout the store. Even the in-house Starbucks got a facelift. It's more spacious with lot's of indoor seating alongside new windows. This is just another example of how much Montrose has grown over the past couple of years. All good for our economy and the job market (so long as they hire more employees). On any given day there have only been 2 to 3 max checkers and the lines can get super long! Last time I was there you still couldn't use the self-checkout, but perhaps that's changed.
