When we walked in BuddyG went into automatic tracking mode. Louise - the groomer with whom I had spoken over the phone - remembered our conversation. She introduced herself and was so very pleasant. She was just finishing up with a pup but, took a second to say hello. It might not sound like much but a warm greeting goes a long way!! I explained that BuddyG was 21 years old - blind and deaf - but still very feisty. I explained how I wanted her to approach him and what I needed her to do. Actually went over a list I had prepared as the previous groomer did not do what I had verbally explained and she had verbally agreed to. Lesson learned. I also explained that BuddyG is sometimes afraid of the blow dryer. She was so cool with everything and thanks me for the list as it would make her job that much easier. I let her know that if she needed to take some extra time with him I would gladly pay for it. I am always afraid that he might be mistreated because he can be stubborn AF!! Seriously. But, when I was leaving he seemed very comfortable. Anywho - I am waiting to be called back when he is done. Well she had explained it would take 1.25 hours at the most. I got the call 2 hours later that he wA ready to be picked up. When I entered the salon the look on her face let me know he had been a handful. She charged me a little more - which I was okay with as I had forewarned her - and left her a good tip as well. BuddyG looked FANTASTIC! I actually did a little applause dance when I saw him. I was so happy. We talked a bit. She told me she was surprised he was so agile at his age. He truly is amazing! We took off and told them we would be back! And we will be!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!…read more I've been staying in the Poconos for the summer visiting family, and we had to go out of town for work last minute. I was searching for someone to watch my 11-month-old puppy, and nowhere felt right until I found Steven's Doggy Services. What an absolute pleasure to have found his services. I boarded my pet for 24 hours, and he does not use kennels, which was really important to me. His home felt like an extension of my own, and I felt completely safe leaving my fur baby in his care and supervision. I received tons of photos and video updates throughout the day, and my dog got along fantastically with his dogs too, it was so sweet to see my puppy have furry friends to play with. What I also loved was the meet and greet Steven coordinated a few days before drop-off, so my dog could meet him and get comfortable in his home. That made a huge difference in my dog's overall stay. The entire process was safe, easy, and comfortable. This is the only place I trust in the Poconos for my dog!
