We happened upon this place and it was a lucky accident. It's very close to the Lübecker Strasse U…read moreBahn station. The owner waited on us very enthusiastically. We all had different hamburgers and basically licked our plates because they were so delicious. The buns seemed like brioche, but I forgot to ask about it before we left. Each came with a side of very good fries, a small salad and hummus. I'm not usually a big fan of hummus, but this was very smooth, almost creamy, with garlic and I enjoyed it. They also have a house made mint lemonade that's really fantastic and a good baklava for desert.
There are only two potential downsides to this place. It's a Halal restaurant, so there don't serve alcohol. We don't feel the need to have a drink with every meal, so that's not a problem for us. Second, they don't have an English language menu and the owner and employees only speak a little bit of a English. However, with Google translate, pointing and knowledge of a few basic German words, we didn't have any trouble.
If you want a good Hamburg-er, check this place out!
