If you've visited Kultura Filipino, you've probably seen Joyce Oreña's line of jewelries and accessories. Because of her unique and creative design skills, she has been able to put up her own shop in the heart of Makati.
Former model turned accessories designer Joyce creates beautiful necklaces and bracelets that are one-of-a-kind. What makes her work special is the distinct look of each piece! She used different types of materials, from fabrics to chains to woven cloths and whatnot! Best part is, it looks distinctly Pinoy so if you're clueless to what souvenir would be great to bring to your girly cousins in the States, I think Joyce's accessories would be perfect.
My sister recently bought a bracelet from Joyce made from braided fabric. She picked out a few charms and decorated her bracelet. According to Joyce who was present during the time we were assembling my sister's purchase, their charms are imported from different countries such as Hong Kong and different parts of Europe. They've got a wide selection of charms to choose from, some you can get as cheap as 80 pesos and others as high as 1,000 pesos a piece. It's practically like Tiffany's charm bracelet mixed a Pinoy twist.
Her items can be really pricey but they're so worth it. Apart from buying something home grown, her designs are completely different from other accessories you can buy outside the country. Wouldn't you wanna sport a piece that's only for you? read more
