Kat immediately made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely ourselves during our engagement shoot. Her attention to detail is phenomenal, especially when it came to all the little things I told her I wanted -- like my very specific request for our photos to feel grand and epic, but also romantic lol. She was always available by text or phone whenever we had questions or concerns. Weeks after our engagement shoot, I noticed something off about my dress, and she had edited photos back to me within hours to help solve the issue. Kat has such a vibrant energy about her that makes the photoshoots so fun! And that's before even getting to her incredible photography skills. She knows all the hidden gems around the city, how to navigate crowded locations to get THE shot, and how to capture a wide variety of moments while maintaining incredible quality. The photos truly speak for themselves. Kat and Brett together are an incredible duo. They seem to instinctively know what shot the other is trying to get, and it was cool to watch them flow together so seamlessly. I think that definitely contributes to their fantastic work. I'm not even sure what our next big event will be, but whatever it is, we're already looking forward to having a reason to hire Kat and Brett again!

Formal Wear Rental Review!…read more My husband and I worked with Gerry from Essence Formal Wear to rent his wedding tux (jacket, pants, vest). Gerry was kind to let my husband come into the store a couple of times to try on the rented pieces with other items he purchased to wear. We were both impressed by the styles they offered, quality of pieces, and pricing. They allowed us to pick up the tux a couple days before the wedding and return it 3 days after. I highly recommend looking to Essence for men's formal wear rentals!

This photographer chooses which photos to edit and present to the client, which is her prerogative,…read morebut she presented us with numerous pictures of our 4 year old with an unflattering fake smile. If I had taken those pictures I would've deleted them, and why a professional photographer would give those to a client boggles the mind. When I expressed concern to her she (1) asked me to send pictures if him with a normal smile and (2) offered to edit 5 more images at an additional cost if $25. I saw the additional unedited images that I could choose to have edited for an additional cost and several were much better than the ones with the fake smile. However, I refuse to spend extra money. She should have taken better pictures to begin with and/or chosen her best photos to edit and present to the client.

His style is very particular, which I see as a good thing-- your photos will look like art, not just like anyone else's photos. Moreover, his prices are completely in line with those of other photogs in Chicago-- even less than several we interviewed! Back in September 2013, we needed our engagement photos quickly to produce save-the-dates and Jeremy delivered. We loved every shot he gave us and are constantly finding ways to use the pictures in new ways. Too, too many of the shots from our August 31 wedding are breathtaking. Jeremy gave me one photo before he left, taken just with his iPhone, and even that shot is spectacular. Plus all the guests at the wedding commented on how clearly capable Jeremy was-- getting right in the middle of the dancing, and being super efficient with all posed shots he took. Jeremy is a legitimate inspiration to both my fiance and me, who have both worked as event photographers ourselves. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO CALIFORNIA JEREMY!!
