Visited once 8y ago. Her office was the worst, yet she saved my life and made my success possible. I'm still impressed by her diagnostic acumen. She freaking NAILED IT. For reference, I was depressed w/ untreated ADHD and OCD. Poor communication and incorrect info from her secretary. The Dr. herself was not friendly or warm but not rude, just neutral... which was awkward as I was beside myself, sobbing uncontrollably and in despair. I didn't want to die but living was a burden. I don't remember the wait. I saw her for no more than 15 mins. She put me on a staggeringly high dosage of Wellbutrin. I told her it made me manic at low doses. I side-eyed the prescription HARD but I was so depressed it was scaring me, so I went with it and 2 days later I was walking on sunshine, in disbelief at how happy I was. I still take it daily and cry a lot if I stop. It allowed me to finished two degrees and start a business. Thank you SO SO much Dr. Behl! read more

Dr. Behl is a great doctor and her extensive knowledge of medication helps her narrow down what you need. But bring a good book. Be prepared for a long wait. Don't beat up on the staff. I am sure they are doing the best they can. They have to wait for the Doctor . Do you want her to try and get you through quickly so she can get to the next person. We laugh and say Dr. Behl is like a rock star. But you don't need a sleeping bag. read more

I was referred to Dr. Behl by my primary physician. And yes the case is you will probably wait. But I have to share that after 35+ years of seeing psychiatrists & therapists - this doctor is the absolute best. She was extremely informative and her assessment was spot on. I only wish I had found her years sooner. I am looking forward to working with her and feeling better. read more

Dr. Behl is really good, but other staff is really bad. The wait time is always 2-3 hours later than the time I schedyle. I love Dr. Behl but wait time is 1-3 hours at least. Every time. Also they told me they don't accept Humana. read more

Dealing with Dr. Behl's office is an absolute nightmare. It's TV sitcom level bad. I think dealing with this office has actually made my depression and PTSD worse. - You will wait a long time, every time. Every single time. No exceptions. Doesn't matter if you get there on time or half an hour before your appointment time, you WILL wait. I've heard other people waiting for 2+ hours, but my longest wait time has been an hour and a half. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. - Forget about asking for the simplest service. Need your prescription filled? Forget about it. Need to ask a simple billing question? Hope you like talking to the answering machine. Even if you do get a hold of a human, they will tell you they'll call you back, but you'll never hear from them again. - I'm stuck with $3,700 in surprise medical bills because Dr. Behl used an out of network lab for my tests without my knowledge. I would have never agreed to the service if I knew it would cost so much. Her response to this dilemma? "What do you want me to do about it?" I have never been to any medical office in my life where they don't run a benefits check first. Even the insurance company can't get her office to pick up the phone. Only after I threatened Dr. Behl's office with my lawyer did she finally assign someone to mitigate my issue, but of course, everyone in her office is useless, so it's not like anything got done. Absolutely disgusting. Whoever granted Dr. Behl her medical license should be shot. read more

Great doctor; horrible scheduling procedures. My second appointment at this office was at 3:30pm, I'm still seating in the waiting room waiting to be seen at 5pm; during my first appointment, I waited two hours to be seen. Furthermore, the front desk staff are clearly overwhelmed with scheduling and the irate patients and it's a stressful environment for people who are already dealing with mental health problems. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience withe this Dr. which was very surprising. I was referred by a friend who sung high praises about Dr. Behl's bedside manners and her attention to detail when it came to providing her a diagnosis. I was warned I would have a long wait, but didn't mind. The wait was the least of my worries. When I finally made it to the back, I was rushed through my symptoms and quickly diagnosed as being majorly depressed (duh). She pushed me off of her in-office (incompetent might I add Therapist). Our next appt was a virtual appt and she never called. When I called to ask her to adjust my meds due to lack of sleep, she gave me additional meds and never called to check back on me. I could never reach her. My meds were all wrong and I began to feel completely numb without anyone to discuss. I was surprised to see a $40 copay and called to inquire about it and was told by the secretary it was for a phone call when I called to discuss my meds. I explained she shouldn't be charging me for a phone call to regulate meds especially after missing my virtual appt which was an "actual" billable appt that was missed 2 weeks prior and never rescheduled. She acted as if she didn't hear anything I said and asked if I wanted to reschedule the virtual appt and of course I said no. The call ended with me being beyond frustrated, the secretary not caring and me telling her I will not be coming back. I wouldn't suggest a loved one see this lady. It's hard enough not being mentally stable, ESPECIALLY during this pandemic. Please stay safe, advocate for yourself and take care. read more

Sure her bedside manner is decent enough but that's not worth the strife for all the inconveniences you experience at her office. For one: The wait is usually atrocious. You can wait for hours only to finally get seen, she writes you your script and the whole thing takes a couple minutes. I feel like precious moments of my life are just wasted away in there for no good reason other than the fact they don't know how to run their office. Secondly, the fact that she will NEVER call in a prescription is ridiculous to me. I was recently in a situation where it was extremely inconvenient for me to go in to her office and I had only a couple of my pills left to get me through the week. I called and explained this in detail, asked if they could possible make an exception for this one time and it was a flat out NO. They don't care about you as a patient, the receptionist on the phone didn't even get my medication right. If Dr. Behl didn't have your file sitting right in front of her face, she wouldn't know your face or story from a hole in the ground. This last incident was definitely the last straw for me. It will be more challenging for me to find another psych because of my specific insurance but I can no longer go to her strictly based on principle at this point. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. Dr. Behl saw me an hour after my scheduled appointment, and spent less than ten minutes with me. In that time, she: -told me I should be evaluated by a psychologist, but when I said I had been evaluated and that the information was in my medical records, she claimed that if I wanted her to check my medical records I should have brought them to her office, because requesting medical records from another doctor "could take years." -claimed that if I was not subjected to a 4 to 5 hour "battery test" for ADHD, then whatever I was referring to was not a "true" evaluation. I mentioned that I had 2 concurring opinions over the last two years, from doctors who spent time getting to know me and my circumstances - something that it became increasingly clear Dr. Behl had no interest in doing. -refused to refer me to any specific psychologist for evaluation, even after I divulged how difficult it was for me to collect my thoughts long enough to research psychologists during the work day. She said I just needed to call my insurance and that was that. -wrote me a "referral" that just said "call your insurance." -While stunned and holding back tears, I asked "so, is this it then?" She replied with a curt "yes" and showed me door. Literally, with one of those glances toward the exit and then back down to her desk, like a principal dismissing a petulant child. I made an appointment with Dr. Behl seeking psychological help for ADHD and moderate depression. I was told that I was either over-exaggerating and probably fine, or an addict; and at any rate, get out of my office. Not only will I never be back, but if her office charges my insurance for more than 10 minutes, I'm reporting her for fraud. I mean, what sort of doctor claims that there is no such thing as a waiver allowing them to collect your medical records in a timely manner? I understand and appreciate that doctors can't prescribe medications willy-nilly, yet Dr. Behl's complete lack of sympathy for or interest in her patient absolutely stunned me. She had no desire to review my medical records (as she made crystal clear in our short time together), or even ask me any questions about myself. It was late on a Monday, and I'm sure she had dinner to get to. read more

Every time I go there I end up waiting literally 2-3 hours past my assigned appointment time, and the staff is a winning combination of disorganized and nasty. My main issue, however, is that Dr. Behl had me show up every month, essentially holding my meds hostage so she could collect a monthly check....if I honestly believed this was done out of real concern, that would be one thing. But our conversations were as cursory as it gets. She dresses and talks like a 1980's stock-broker, with the chilly, condescending attitude to match. More of a bridge troll than a doctor. read more

I've been here for two hours and haven't been seen. I never do bad reviews-but always do one when I get good service. This experience is absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful. I learned that this doc comes "all the way" from MoCo and that's why she's behind. She should just move her practice there...if she can get any patients after these reviews. Had horrible experiences with this place every time I go to this office. They are unorganized and make you wait hours to see the doctor, who doesn't even arrive until after 4 pm. I am SO disappointed and upset with my experience at Dr Behl's office. I was a patient a year ago and never had any problems, except the wait was always ridiculously long. It seems as though appointment times are never honored. However my experience there today was awful, demeaning and so disrespectful. I walked in to my appointment 5 minutes early. I scheduled the appointment a few days prior and received a confirmation voicemail yesterday for my appointment at 6:10. When i walked in to my appointment, Dr Behl, the main receptionist lady and the man (office manager maybe?) were all sitting at the front. As i attempted to sign in, i was abruptly interrupted by Dr Behl, who had such a nasty attitude with me from the beginning. She asked me why i was there, and that the office was now closed. I told her i spoke to her receptionist who was sitting right there, and that i was given this appointment time. Dr Behl insisted there was NO way i could have this appointment time and that their system was closed. I proceeded to pull out my phone and play the voicemail from their office, which clearly stated my appointment time was 6:10 today. I even told her that i got off work early to make this appointment and it was really difficult for me to do so. Dr Behl completely brushed this off as though my time was of no importance to her. Never have i been so disrespected. I will never return to this facility, as they are extremely disorganized, uncaring and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and seek services elsewhere, unless you're a fan of wasting your own time. Wish i could give this place zero stars. read more

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE risk your well being on this practice. Find another doctor. The office is run very badly by 2 or 3 very rude people who have no people skills and could care less that you are there, OR that you have serious problems. Have sat waiting for an hour only to be told she'll be here soon.....she's not here yet. We are the 4:00 but come to find out there are 2 other 4:00's. DO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE! Horrible is the only word to describe this office. They make you wait for hrs after your appointment time. And she doesn't even show up until 5:30 or almost 6. Literally has an office full of patients and she only sees each one for 5 minutes to for them the prescriptions. She doesn't know your name unless it's right in font of her. This office is very disorganized. Multiple times we have had issues with scheduling, communication, and common courtesy. I have been very clear when calling about an appointment, only to be told something different at the last minute. There is a lack of professionalism that is very disturbing. The anxiety caused for my daughter has leaves me no choice but to find care elsewhere. read more

Been going there for 2 years, and the shortest wait time was 1/2 hr. Dr. Jyoti Behl herself also is not very good at listening. She interrupts and even says she "doesn't want to hear about it." I am just trying to change to another doctor(psychiatrist) at this point. read more

Very unprofessional staff. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand was doing. Two weeks after making an appointment, was called the day of the appointment and told we had to reschedule because of a new patient vs. recurring patient misinformation. This happened three other times. When I asked for a call-back from the doctor because the staff didn't have the information I needed, I received no call back. When I called back again, the same staff person was clueless, saying the doctor would not even be in at the time of our appointment. I'm only giving this one star because that's the only way to post.The psychiatric profession is at least the ONE PLACE that should not create more anxiety for its patients!!. read more

i should have read the reviews!! most incompetent staff for a medical practice i've ever come across. not only did they schedule me twice for an appointment, where i took off work early to keep it, the 1st scheduled visit for 2/2 @ 430 was never scheduled (i found out when i called to say i would be late due to the weather) and "randy", i think his name was, said that an email was sent stating they are missing the lengthy paperwork required. when i questioned that, and confirmed i faxed it over, he went back and said that the email was still sitting in "draft" and was never sent out! then, he found the documents!! he scheduled me for 2/9 @ 430 and, again, i took off work early and when i called to confirm where to walk to (i took metro and was confused as to which complex they were in when i got there) the woman said that the doctor is running an hour behind and that she did not see me scheduled for an appointment but to come in anyway. really?? i hung up and went home causing me to waste work hours. it seems this office has mental health issues with the doctor/her staff that needs addressing because they are surely too incompetent to serve those of us that need mental health services. one would think that, given the state of the illness nowadays, they would be more sensitive and on point with how they treat patients-especially new patients like myself. next complaint is to cigna so they can hopefully take into consideration offering her services on their website! read more
