The paint now scratches off when you bump it. * After painting, we were going to hire him to refinish our kitchen cabinets. He took the job, and said he was going to start on 5/18. He didn't show up. * No call. No reply to emails, calls, text messages to see if he was going to still do it. He didn't reply to anything for two weeks. During this time, he still had our house key and one of our cabinet doors. It has taken three follow up talks and the threat of legal action to get our key and cabinet door back. * We were MORE than understanding of his lack of professionalism and promptly paid him for the original painting job.

They finished up on Oct.19th,…read morewe paid the same day, even we were not happy with the front door, it wasn't aligning with the frame, the latch barely caught the strikeplate and it was leaking air. Leo blamed it on our old house. Later that day we discovered a crack in the frame of the back door, called them, Brandi promised they would come back out on Friday. We waited all day, nobody came. Then they didn't respond to calls or emails, so 2 weeks later we got BBB involved. Since then they made several appointments with us and never showed up. By the end of december they told us they got a replacement door from Jeld Wen and somebody comes on dec 26th or 27th to do the work. Nobody showed up, again, and an automated email from Greenfit told us they are on vacation until january 3rd. Finally on january 9th they sent a subcontactor out to fix the mess, but Greenfit didn't bring the replacement door out, because they can't get into their trailer......one excuse after the other! Now they are back to not answering calls and emails, so frustrating. We also discovered that them experts on insulation cut corners and didn't put any insulation into the doorframe!

Not knowing who to call I ended up calling GEM construction and spoke with Gary Moody. Within an hour he was at my house and up on the roof. I have a 10/12 pitch on the roof and he was up there with the help of one of his assistants. I found the cover and he replaced and secured while here. On another time (about a year ago) I hired him to replace a service door to my garage and he did a great job. One other time within the past two years I had an issue with a vent to my attic and he responded and took care of the problem. Very happy with his response and work.

He told me he under bid his paint job so he was definitely trying to recoup some of his costs. After we got passed that he was trying to increase the bid on his paint job to $5500, and then wanted more money towards the job before he even started. I put a lot of trust in this young adult and he was unprofessional and talked poorly the entire time that I challenged him on his timing and costs. I urge anyone not to ever use him!
