We had some items that we weren't quite sure how they made it up in the attic in the first place due to their size and weight, let alone how we were going to get them down. After weeks of going back and forth on potential options we reached out to Bison Dump through their email contact form. They were quick to respond and set a time for removal of the items we listed, when our pile grew they replied that it wouldn't be a problem at all. Not knowing exactly how much our pile had grown, and knowing they had a collection after ours, they arrived a half hour early and asked if they could get started a little early. They had everything out, loaded and areas swept within an hour. 100 percent would call on them again.

This included a drainage system under the driveway from gutter downspouts detouring water away from the driveway, a light grey tint added to the concrete, demo removing the old driveway, correcting a slope, inspections, the concrete and a finish with a brushed texture. Reasons why I chose this company out of 6 bidders: 1. By checking CCB license through Oregon Construction Contractors Board using google. Thomas Holland, owner, has had the same license, unblemished, for over 10 years. Some of the others had their license for less than a year or had consumer complaints, problems attached to their license. 2. Thomas has an eye for potential problems and was the only one to suggest a drainage system under the driveway to collect water from the gutter of this old home. 3. Thomas does the work along with his crew, very important to me as I have had bad experiences with the contractor who has multiple jobs, sends a crew unsupervised. Example: One plumber decided he was not going to do a section of plumbing, signed off the job and had I not been there reporting him, that section of plumbing I paid for would have not been done. 4. I found over 10 great 'real' reviews on J.A. Holland Construction. could find no reviews or very little on the other bidders. 5. First impression of Thomas is an all around 'good' guy, straight forward, no phony sales pitch. 6. The price. Thomas came in low, tied exactly with another low bid, and this great price with the under driveway drainage system. The job: Demo: Took only 2 days and what a performance as neighbors also watched in awe, the street lined with heavy machinery in order of use and so organized as as the old concrete was lifted, put in the vehicle to be disposed of, gravel was put in place. Thomas is a master of heavy vehicle machinery, used a generous amount of gravel and had the job cleaned up by 5pm both days. 2. Forms installed, passed inspection. 3. The concrete pour was just as smooth and also passed inspection without incident. On one walkway I had done by another company, very little gravel was used and I noticed later a slight yellowish tan stain had appeared, found none of this with the work from Thomas, and believe it is because of the generous layer of gravel. In fact, I can not find one irregularity in the concrete.

Pfeifer replaced my composite roof with a standing seam metal roof this winter. My experience was…read moreessentially perfect, or as perfect as one of the most stressful home purchases you'll make can be. I got four bids from local companies and while Pfeifer was not the cheapest, they had the best combination of knowledge, experience, and price out of the four. Sam's advice about the best underlayment and important details of the panel structure and flashing made Pfeifer stand out from the pack. Pfeifer scheduled the removal of my composite roof for the next time that the weather cleared. Hector and his crew were out here early every day, and they worked hard. They worked almost every day for about a week including coming in on the weekend when the weather allowed. Once the underlayment was on they waited about a week for the panels to get produced and delivered and then Hector's team was back out at my house daily for about two more weeks installing the roof. Higher level supervisors from the company like Christian, Martin and others were regularly in touch and visited several times to make sure that the quality of the installation was up to their standards. Since I don't really know much about roofs there were a couple times when I was worried about the way several details looked. Hector was consistently patient with my questions and every single time his explanation for how he was installing the panels matched or exceeded the manufacturer recommendations I found online. My roof is significantly more complicated than I appreciated at the start of the project, but by the end I was confident that each valley, pitch change, and vent was expertly flashed and sealed. There was a small amount of additional work that needed to be done around some siding on the house, and the quality and the cost of that work were both fair. Metal roofs are a craft, and the details matter for the roof's long-term performance. Once the roof installation was done I asked an expert roofer I know to come out and provide a consultation for me about the quality of Pfeifer's work. He doesn't think very highly of roofers in general, but he was quite literally floored by the multiple signals of extremely high quality work he saw on my roof. Hector and his crew are excellent at what they do, and the whole team at Pfeifer are professional. There is a reason that they have so few CCB complaints for such a long tenure as a company: you can trust Pfeifer to install your metal roof the right way.

Jorge came over and we talked about how the process worked, how we could break up what I wanted done into smaller more affordable chunks. He was extremely flexible with me being able to add things to be done, at a reasonable price, with reasonable notice-for scheduling. So far He has taken down the track lighting in the kitchen and replaced it recessed led lighting which is amazing by itself and has made my kitchen look brand new. He has replaced the hall lighting with the same kind of lights which allow me to see much better, less hazardous. He has replaced the vanity large, bulky, oversized, old light with a sleek new stylish light, which led me to see I also needed to replace the fan light in the bathroom, the sink and faucet. Now he is repairing some cabinet doors and will patch a wall area, install a toilet paper hanger. We are working towards blinds for the windows, lighting for the living room and flooring for the house. The work he has done is excellent quality and is a huge value add both financially and lifestyle/comfortwise. He has had excellent advice and ideas and has also listened to what I want and offered pros and cons while still being respectful. I am very, very happy with my experience and will continue to work with Jorge and Willamette Valley Home Improvement Projects LLC. Even if you already have another roofer in mind, it's absolutely worth your time to get a quote from Moon Roofing for comparison. In April 2025, our offer on a house in South Salem was accepted. During the inspection, it was clear the roof needed to be replaced. Our real estate agent referred us to a roofer he knew, but I wanted a second opinion. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to reach out to Moon Roofing. From my first call, the experience was impressive. Ariana answered the phone right away. I explained our situation and the urgency, and she promised to follow up within a couple of hours. Less than an hour later, she let me know that Armando would be stopping by that evening to inspect the roof, and that I'd have a quote the next day. Sure enough, the quote arrived early the next morning. The roofer referred by our agent also came out and provided a quote. Both companies quoted the same product (IKO Dynasty), and their prices were competitive with each other. After we closed in June, we asked both companies to re-quote the project using a higher-end material--Malarkey Windsor architectural shingles. Moon Roofing's updated quote was less than the other roofer's updated quote. The Malarkey shingles were special order and had about a two-week lead time. Armando managed to get the product in and installed just under that timeframe. He also replaced sixteen sheets of plywood and installed a new skylight, all for a very reasonable additional cost. We are thrilled with the final result and so glad we chose Moon Roofing. The quality, service, and value exceeded our expectations.

The night before our appointment I emailed Lazarus the scope of work with photos, floorplan, and to confirm our appointment. The evening of the appointment our rental tenant informed me nobody showed up. That's a bummer. I get it everyone's busy. But trying to locate a good contractor SUCKS. To have a contractor simply not show up and not give you a call is unprofessional and waste of everyone's time. It's been a week and I haven't hear from Lazarus.
