Massage Addict offers up a membership program that allows for 1 massage/month and from what I understand a lot of flexibility. Their 'perks' are better (more clearly) outlined than the local competition (and I researched before going for my trial). I'm a fan. The facilities were clean, I was kept warm under blankets and there was a heating pad involved. The music was very ambient - piano jazz I think at one point. That is a nice change from the usual wood pipe flutes.

My masseuse's hands were SO cold they gave me a chill through the blanket. He laughed it off the first time I asked him to warm them up, " I'm gonna steal some of your body heat " he said. I told him that made me uncomfortable and insisted he go warm them. He didn't know how to the stereo system, so traffic and construction noise was interrupted 6 or 7 times by him yelling "ALEXA PLAY SPA MUSIC". I followed up a few days later with a phone call, asking for no compensation, but offering feedback on my negative experience. I then received an unsolicited and lengthy email from "an owner" Neil Aronoff. He made excuses, insisted my negative experience was my fault, looked at my file and made personal assumptions about me based on my job title, offered me 20% off my next appt, gave me a bogus work number, and never returned my messages. You're better off living in pain than you are spending money in this Clinic.

I've probably seen over a dozen different RMTs in Toronto, and there aren't that many I'd go to twice. I've been seeing Ivan Tam for a few sessions now and I think he does great work. He really gets into the problem areas with incredible technique, and I feel very refreshed after seeing him. He also gives tips on how to help with preventative measures (stretches, etc). The prices at Nexus are also very reasonable, and they do direct billing with my insurance provider (sunlife) which is a bonus.

Since she is also a registered Chinese Medicine Herbalist, you might be given herbs to drink. If you've never had to drink herbs, I won't lie that they are the grossest things to drink but you know what, they work. So, stop your moaning and take them because you will get better! The clinic is clean and well-organized. There are eight clean private rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the prices for each visit is reasonable.
