She even gave me options for a procedure to save money. I would HIGHLY recommend this office and Dr. Stefano.

A Hometown Hero With a Dental Cape -- Dr. Miley & Merit Dental Deserve a Standing Ovation (With…read moreClean Teeth, Of Course!) Let me set the scene: a small-town dental office tucked into Sandusky, OH. Nothing fancy, no Instagrammable neon signs or spa-scented waiting rooms--but what it does have is heart. And a dentist who's nothing short of a legend. Enter: Dr. Stephen Miley. This man didn't just clean my teeth--he shaped my dental destiny. I grew up going to Merit Dental, and Dr. Miley was my go-to from the start. The guy is the real deal. No rush jobs, no phoned-in appointments. He's got a genuine care for not just your teeth, but for you--the whole person sitting in that chair. He doesn't just poke around for 30 seconds and vanish like some dental Houdini. Dr. Miley takes his time, he coaches you (yes, you will hear about the flossing you skipped), and he makes sure you leave better than you came. I credit him for why my dental health is still solid today. And let's talk childhood memories for a second. There was a kid's area with video games--specifically Super Mario. I remember zooming through levels of Mushroom Kingdom before hopping into the chair. The waiting room is cozy, with some classic chairs, a TV, and those well-thumbed magazines that somehow always have a quiz in the back. It's nothing over-the-top, but it never needed to be. The front desk staff? Always kind, always on top of things. From check-ins to insurance questions, they made even the boring grown-up parts feel manageable. Honestly, going to the dentist was never scary for me growing up--and that's not something many people can say. I attribute that comfort and trust to the whole team here. I recently looked up the office again and was beyond thrilled to see Dr. Miley is still practicing. The fact that he's stayed all these years says everything you need to know: he loves what he does, and he's really good at it. If you're anywhere near Sandusky, this is the office to go to. Whether you're a nervous first-timer, a family with kids, or someone who just wants a provider that actually listens, Dr. Miley and the Merit Dental team are worth their weight in gold fillings (the metaphorical kind--he's all about modern, quality work!). TL;DR: A dentist who cares and listens Great with kids and adults alike Nostalgic vibes with modern skill A legacy of dental excellence Still the GOAT years later Thank you, Dr. Miley, for being a true dental hero in my story. Here's to many more years of smiles in Sandusky!

During that time, and when he transferred his practice elsewhere, he continued with his dedication and caring service. He has always been upfront with his recommendations and being concerned regarding our satisfaction and well-being. There have been a few times where he would call us to check how my husband felt after his appointment or if there were any other problems to contact him immediately. We recently learned Dr Kirpekar is going to continue his practice at Merit Dental in Sandusky, Ohio. Unfortunately, the location is too far for us to travel, so we are back to square one in finding a dentist who will be as caring as Dr Kirpekar. His work ethics we feel are outstanding, highly recommend him, he's very trustworthy and treats his patients with respect.
