I returned at 1:45. The shop is one small room with waiting and stylist all in the same open room. I was seated about 20 feet from Hanna's chair and everyone can see everyone else in the shop. At 2:30- 30 MINUTES LATE-and after I had sat looking at everyone for 45 minutes------ No one had indicted she was running behind; No one smiled No one acknowledged my presence in any manner. Being that late is bad enough, but the rudeness and lack of consideration made it evident my business was not wanted or appreciated.

After having a friend tell me about Pure and how they love it I was excited to try it out. The stylist who I went to did a good job on my hair and I was really pleased with it. However, I struggled with the conversation. My regular hair stylist and I have great conversation and it goes back and forth. The stylist here mostly talked about herself. I don't want to mostly talk about myself either, but you need balance in a conversation to be enjoyable if you know what I mean. If I'm going to be sitting in a seat for 2+ hours getting my hair done I want good conversation. The prices are higher here than my normal salon I go to. Not sure if they set their own prices individually, but considering the stylist I went to was somewhat fresh out of hair school I don't think it was worth the price since my regular hair stylist does a great job, more experienced and slightly lesser prices. And Shannon, the owner of the salon always performs amazing transformations on the people I see in her chair. They do take walk-ins if there is an opening, but I would suggest at least a call ahead appointment. Each stylist manages her own schedule and pricing, so it may vary. There is also a true barber shop inside too. Overall the staff is capable, the salon is clean and well maintained, and the end result is always positive. The location is on Bentonville Square, so parking can sometimes be a challenge, but if you plan ahead for time then no worries.

My stylist was Rachel Rogers, and from the very beginning, the experience felt unprofessional. Within the first few minutes she casually dropped the F bomb, which immediately set the wrong tone. I showed her a clear picture of the hairstyle I wanted and explained that because I have curly hair, I did not want it cut too short. Despite that, by the middle of the appointment I could tell far more hair had been cut off than I asked for. She ignored the style I requested and gave me something completely different. The back of my hair is now so short that it doesn't even curl anymore. When I mentioned how short it was, she brushed it off and told me, "It will grow back." Throughout the appointment, she handled my hair roughly. While blow-drying, she hit me with the dryer multiple times, and when she fluffed out my curls, she did it so aggressively that my hair actually smacked against my face. Her overall attitude made it seem like she didn't want to be there at all. At one point, when a coworker asked her whether she did perms for a waiting client, she rolled her eyes and responded with an annoyed "I guess." This haircut was a birthday gift, and my wife had to pay $80 (which is way too overpriced for a men's haircut) for what ended up being a very disappointing experience. This was one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had…read more Before my appointment even began, I clearly communicated that I wanted bangs and showed a reference photo. I specifically said that I know bangs are tricky and that if the stylist was not comfortable, I did not want her to do them. She assured me she could. She could not. She cut my bangs far too thick and far too wide--essentially from ear to ear--and then, in what felt like a panic, over-thinned them trying to fix it. The result is uneven, stringy, misaligned sections with different lengths, and hair that now starts much farther back on my head than it ever should. This is not a minor mistake--it fundamentally altered the structure of my haircut in a way that cannot be quickly corrected. To make matters worse, she was late to my appointment, and there was no acknowledgment or remedy offered for that. The lack of professionalism continued when I raised concerns. I was told, "it's not a big deal, it will grow," which is incredibly dismissive considering I have multiple family events and travel coming up, including a professional photoshoot. When I spoke to the owner, the response was, "what do you want me to do about it?" There was no accountability, no attempt to meaningfully fix the situation, and no care for how this impacts me beyond the salon chair. While I was not charged for the haircut itself, I still paid $80 for color--and that is the least of what this has cost me. This experience has cost me confidence, comfort, and peace of mind during important family moments that I cannot redo. This was never about saving $20 on a haircut. I paid far more than that in the aftermath of this experience. Mistakes can happen. But poor skill combined with dismissiveness, lack of accountability, and unprofessional handling is unacceptable.
